My hubby and I spent our Thanksgiving on a beach on the Sea of Cortez... Weather was beautiful.

That does sound like a nice Thanksgiving, Cheryl! I got to spend it with my Minneapolis relatives. Even went to the Mall of America that Saturday, woohoo! Currently, I'm looking forward to seeing the parents for Christmas.

 

Austin arrives tomorrow, David on Wednesday. I've got the house decorated, a tree up and will be baking a ton of cookies today. I've got my Christmas spirit on overdrive.

 

my whole message just got deleted..... jeesh.. okay, start over. Kathryn will you be coming here or are your parents coming there? I got to enjoy some Christmas Spirit with Cheryl on Sunday baking cookies.

We will be spending Christmas Eve with Jake's mom and family and hopefully Phil will join us, then on Christmas day we are driving to Nogales to spend that day with Jake's dad and our other family. It should be a nice holiday if I can get over the pain of not being with my kids, but we don't have the money to get to them this year, it hurts a lot but unfortunately there is nothing that can be done about it.

Austin is spending the night in SeaTac Airport. His flight was cancelled because of the weather. Hopefully, the flight he has rebooked for tomorrow morning won't be cancelled. He should be arriving tomorrow night here in Tucson, instead of Phoenix.

 

Austin arrived in Phoenix Tuesday afternoon, David Wednesday afternoon. I loved spending time with them.

Hi all! Guess I haven't checked this thread in a while...
Sounds like you both (Cheryl and Cat) had nice Christmases! Nice family photo, Cheryl. I did indeed get to come down and see the parents for the week of Christmas. One of my aunts in Minneapolis also came down spend the holiday with us, which was nice. I should be coming down to Arizona over spring break, so (cross my fingers) hopefully I will be able to make it down to Tucson then!

Other news up here: it's cold. It's supposed to get to -23 tonight... Not that I'm complaining, but it was so cold this morning that when my breath fogged up my glasses, it froze! My eyelashes were sticking to my scarf! (frozen breath again) But hey, it's warming up to the mid-20s (above 0) for Saturday. Quite nice for some cross country

 

There is going to be a Yuuzhan Vong action figure, it is AWESOME!!!!!

What a Superbowl, as always Fitzgerald was awesome, unfortunately it came too late, a few sweet minutes of being in the lead before it was snatched away. The Cardinals gave it a grand run though, I'm proud of them.

 

Has anyone heard about the Comcast hack? It'll be in the news tomorrow, but guess what? People with Comcast in Tucson got a little more excitement during the game when the feed was hacked and about 10 seconds of a porno were played, and there was full frontal male nudity. It was pretty bad. I didn't see it, but my dad got a call right after it happened. It happened right after Fitzgerald (sp?) got that last touchdown at about the 2 minute mark.
