    I don't think I've seen a thread on this...

What do you all think of the WM exclusive Cantina Bar figures? The 3 that are out already are Hammerhead, Walrus man and Greedo.

The other 3 figures to be released in the coming weeks are Wuher (the bartender), a new Dr. Evazan and Kitik Keed'kak (the big Praying-Mantis like alien).

I think it's a great addition to my collection, particularly now that so many other Cantina figures have been made.

Of course, the Cantina set won't be complete until they get around to making figures of the Tonnika sisters! ;)

Havent' they already released all the figures that come with the sets before? Why don't they make new figures!?

Well, yeah, but some people maybe didn't get to buy the ones that came out like 5 or 6 years ago.

At least the Ponda Baba (Walrus Man) figure has knee articulations, which the earlier one didn't have... and the Dr. Evazan is a brand new sculpt, which is good because the first one looked horrible!

Yeah that's true, i know that most people loved the cantina scene, but it wasn't a big deal to me, i guess that is why i haven't bothered to pick these up - unless a new figure was included.

EDIT: - you are right though princess, the articulation and sculpts werent' the best on ponda and dr. evazan (from the cantina 3-pack scene anyways)

We had a thread going a couple of months back, but it's pretty much dead now.

I really enjoy the cantina sets. I havn't got Hammerhead yet, but I do have Greedo and Ponda Baba. Very nice.

I'm really excited about the Kitik figure, since it's brand new... there's a photo of it at the SSG site, it looks great!!! :D

Being a big fan of the Cantina Scene, i really like the Cantina bar sets. So far, i have only purchased Greedo. I am working on a Cantina Diorama and these bar sets are perfect. Sure beats using pizza separators for tables!! I just hope that they can clear up the legal issues some day and make the Tonnika Sisters.

I wish that the Wal-Mart near me would get them. I had to drive 25 miles just to fine Hammerhead and Ponda Boba,

The legal issues with the Tonnika Sisters: When SW:ANH was filmed, the two actresses that played Brea and Senni Tonnika (Angela Staines and Christine Hewitt) did not sign the release that allowed Lucasfilm to use their likenesses for figures and/or promotional items. Without their consent, figures of the Tonnika Sisters will never be made. Sad, but true.

It boggles the mind that they couldn't be persuaded to allow themselves to be immortalized in plastic... ;)

Some people just don't have the same loose set of standards as the rest of us I guess.

    "Angela Staines and Christine Hewitt"

I wonder if they're still alive?

If they die they still couldn't make figures becuase they could never sign anything.

It was the Same Way with Peter Cushing, The Man who played Tarkin. It was after his death we finally did get a Tarkin figure, but I beleive a next of Kin had to allow it.

So if they have passed on, than they (Hasbro) would need living realitive of them who had the ability to authorise production of the Figures. I guess it would have to be a Son, or Daughter or something like that.

May I ask what your source is Quickstrike?

    Well thats interesting to know.

So they just refuse to sign it? Odd.

I almost bought hammerhead today, but instead got Anikan w/ geonosian.

What I don't understand about this thing with the Tonnika sisters is why their likeness is not covered by the copyright that Lucasfilm has on the whole movie... I would have thought they could do it if they own the copyright...
