This is one of my favorite shows out. I love all the suspense and twist and turns, and how they aren't afraid to eliminate one of the main characters at the drop of a hat. And and the zombies of course are awesome! Last weeks episode totally surprised me I can't believe they took our Lori, I knew the other guy (T-something) was just a matter of time since they had no character development on him etc. See I didnt even know his name. The other "town governer" is so creepy, what's with all the heads? Who keeps heads, seriously?!
..ummm, I would not recommend reading the comics. Although things happen differently in the show than in the comics, if there's one thing you can count on in this show, it's that it will be like BSG...once you think it can't get any worse/depressing, it does.
Yeah I know what happens in the comics.....so Lori died differently. I know that no character is safe on this series.
It's very sad. It happens at the end of the prison story arc in the comics. The Governor invades and all goes to hell. This is truly one moment in the comic that is best read instead of explained. Check out issue 48 of the comic for ridiculous action that will blow your mind and break your heart. I'd suggest finding Volume 8 of the comic collection to get the full impact.
Frick man. I just started watching the show a few weeks ago because I'm a fan of Sarah Wayne Callies...
No replies to this? I would like to think I would never do this but I think in world like this it could totally mess with you mind and sanity
You mean Sofie? Yeah, that was out of nowhere...but I should have expected it since it was the saddest thing that could have happened.
Yeah, it just goes to show how some people refuse to let go in the zombie apocalypse and accept what we (the viewing public) this is crazy. The Governor is definitely off his rocker. Less so in this show compared to the comics and the two novels. And, yep, he's a bad dude, jedijaysin. However they are downplaying the true nastiness in the show and instead going for a benevolent leader kind of thing. Except for the most recent episode with the torture/possible rape of Maggie in the last episode. That was definitely borderline of what's acceptable on cable television, IMHO. You want to show the terrible things the Governor is capable of, but not show him as being cruel for cruelty's sake.
What did you think of Michonne and the Governor's smackdown? And how did Darryl get captured...and in one piece?!?
I loved the glass in the eye, I knew he wasnt going to get killed though, they still need him as a part of the story. I think Darryl went looking for his brother, and said who he was otherwise I think he would be dead. What about the new people? Are they in the comic book?
Yeah, Tyreese is a fan favorite and comes from the comic book. Very cool dude! I'm excited for new blood...even if 4 out of 5 of the noobs get sacrificed to zombies.
