I'm on his ass via pm, to meet deadlines and get out of bed before noon... lol. I nagged at him to get his fafsa done last night. His online enrollment application deadline is August 15. If you're gonna play bad cop, keep on his ass to make that deadline.

 

I refuse to go anywhere near his ass. I'll just keep busting his balls about the dodgers. Fair enough?

To be fair I'm pretty sure you were drunk and I was entirely not drunk enough.

 

Out the litany of issues & problems I had with/at Walmart, math wasn't one of them... with what I know/am able to do, I got by in that regard. Same applies, naturally, to any possible future retail job I might get; that type of sentiment/application would apply, though, to insurance work... was interviewed for a position there last December, but it ultimately went nowhere. It's possible I could seek out, well be sought out, for that kind of work again, but I'm just not sure.

1) Despite some bureaucratic nonsense, I'm on my way back to LAPCC for this fall... will likely take a speech class (specifically concerning the art of arguing, debate) to get my feet wet/back in the swing of things (name your cliche!).


2) I had a 10+ telephone interview with a prospective employer* about 45-minutes ago... that went extremely well. I'll be getting another call either tomorrow, or next week, and THAT COULD lead to an actual in-person interview, among other stuff.





*The employer? Target.

Ramza As I told a relative over-the-phone about an hour ago, sure, working retail again has all sorts of inherent terrible things about it, but, it's at least a fresh, new set of BS to deal with, as opposed to going to back to Walmart, and dealing with all those specific forms of BS, drama, folks, etc.

 

I worked at Target for a pretty long time and I never had anything I would characterize as a genuinely negative experience (Other than the obvious such-and-such customer was really mean, etc. kind of stuff) - if anything, relative to what I heard about other retail/customer service positions, I was apparently getting treated pretty well - so I'm hopeful they'll treat you right if you get the job.

 

The fact that I wasn't fired, or even reprimanded for that (which occurred in the spring of '05... damn, nearly a decade has past since. Wow) goes to show you how incompetent Walmart, specifically (obviously) my store was/is.

 

I only occasionally post in this thread but I have to say, I'm glad things seem to be getting better. Good luck with all your endeavors. And don't forget your daily walks!

 

I haven't! Since July 13th, I've skipped/not gone for a walk on just 4-days: once for a funeral, once for a holiday, once for a Armenian-church service related to that funeral, and once for baseball .
