SWRPF Archive War of the Galaxies IV : The Darkness Within. (A NR, GE, YVMF RP)

IC: Tatooine
By all reports, the Yuuzhan Vong were occupying the planet of Tatooine before their fleets left the system. Which is why the convoy of New Republic freighters entering the atmosphere was not only a group of ships desgined to resist poisons and toxins, but the equipment onboard was scientific in nature and included a large assortment of decontamination devices.

The convoy met up the Tenth Defense Fleet, under Commander Isfan of the HBD Pride's Fury. The fleet escorted the team to the planet's surface.

Appreciating Yomin Carr's often unpredictable and lethal toys, the workers of the New Republic National Academy of Sciences who landed on Tatooine were dressed in full biosuits that not only protected them from the poison but also from the fast-rising temperatures. Powerful scanners not only searched for danger (any of which will be repulsed by the military weapons the scientists brought as well as two full squads of retrofitted X-wing II's soaring overhead). The scientists formed a large security perimeter, with soldiers too.

The scientists disembarked at the Dune Sea and got straight to work. Analyzing the composition of air and soil, they worked, with the aid of major doses of caffeine, round the clock to find out how to counter the shaping materials and save the dying planet...

OOC: Understand that these scientists are well-suited (no pun intended) for anything on this planet.

 

OOC: And what system did this convoy come from?

IC:

Reytha

The planet's resources were destroyed by the sheer voracious appetite of the shaped Ranats. The topsoil was stripped by these creatures and the crops were ruined. The producer of 1/4 of the Empire's food no longer produced anything.

OOC: I warned you Imperials to respond, and gave you an extra two days. I'll think of the repercussions and post them later in the WC and GE threads...

 

Veng walked out of the military base and onto the empty streets. He picked up his comm and called the CSA Building. He arranged for his Slashrat Speeder to be sent to him immediately. Patiently he waited. He liked his Slashrat. He had bought it off the black market for only 4,300. It was cheaper than actually building one, or actually buying one.

The slashrat's self guidence system he had installed brought itself to him and veng hopped on. High speeds... anyways Veng made his way to the CSA Building. The CSA Building was the central hub of all on the CSA capital, a mini courscant seeing as how you could touch base level, where all things happened. Before budget cuts he had his office there. Zooming through the streets Veng made himself to the CSA Building and to the main control center.

Veng walked in, endured all the authority and reports, he finally was able to order out orders. Something he liked.

"Have the in active military shipyards begin to create a few ISD's. We should begin to use them. Have the military construction yards create more Shipyards, make a large one," a Corporate Sector Map appeared, "here." Veng pointed at an empty spot of space between Ammuud and Karrisz. "And create a few droid production facilities near here. On this planet or any of the surrounding. You decide, I respect your executive descisition." Veng sat down onto a chair. This was gonna take a few months...

 

As he sped off to the spaceport, Ollidamra thought about his encounter with Veng.

He thinks he's better than me.He thinks he can boss me around and make me do whatever he wants."Olli, bring me a speeder." "Olli, where's the bounty hunter?" "Olli, go meet with him."

I'll show him.

Olli shoved himself back into reality as he arrived at the spaceport. He walked up to the bounty hunter. "Who are you?"

 

Incoming Transmission:
"My Brothers and sisters! I stand before you now because the Jedi Council, and the Sith Council are preparing to do war! I feel that our council (Sith) has lost all hopes of winning! Since a attack by the Jedi's the other day our Sith Council, has all but perished! I ask you now to join me! Help me to fight these Jedi! This is our last and finally battle and with this battle it will determine the out come of our RPG sites (Jedi V.S. Sith), I ask you now for your help! I normally wouldn't do this but the Jedi have outnumbered me and my remaining Sith Lords. MEanwhile in HYper Space, The fifth Fleet was getting ready to come out of hyperspace. "Stephen, she said into the com, Get Rogue Squardon ready to Launch as soon as we exit hyperspace." She looked at "George, Would you like to give the order to come out of hyperspace"? Yes Ma'am George answered. Reaches down and hits the comlink,"Rogue Squardon and the rest of the fifth fleet, our misson here is to attack and run, attack and run, Not destroy, We have reinforcements coming,Good Luck And May the Force BE with you". Commodore PAdme out. Thok Monitor the battle, and see if you can come up with a plan to follow

George get ready to take us out of hyperspace, we are nearing Myrkr and Garos IV.

A message came through to the New Republic ambassador, from Varonat's rulers.


"With all due respect, Varonat would like to decline your invitation to join the Republic. We do not wish to upset the Galactic Empire or the Yuuzhan Vong, for we believe that joining the Republic could attract attention to us, and prompt a strike against our well-being. While I am confident in the Republic's ability to protect us, should we have chosen to join them, we have seen the damage done to Mon Calamari and Eriadu and not by fleet attacks. We thank you for your time, ambassador."

With that, the message winked out, and Varonat resumed its inconspicuous "life"...

Raf M'ark marched off to the CSA building where Veng C'mano was.

The Fifth Fleet suddenly drops out of hyperspace near Myrkr and Garos IV, under the command of George. George: "All Fighters launch, rogue you take the lead, Thok, quikly get data on the defense's of those planets and organise a Formation for battle, All Ships raise Shields and charge weapons, set all targeting sensors, and get ready for a battle." George walks over to padme, "was that good enough?" Then sits in his little chair next to padme's. "Thok hurry up!"

If you want "Admiral whoever-the-hell-he-is" to take you to Veng, then why are you walking there alone? Pick one.

 

OOC: So you appeared in the massive void between two planets, used your super-duper scanners to see current data from both, then expect DF stats? I doubt it. You have to at least come into one of the two systems to get that system's defense stats.

Byss

In his lab with the few Genesii that could be spared to be assigned to this "Failure" as the directors saw it, Gorin was working with a full scale model of a Turbolaser. He was looking at these miniture pins he had designed. Right now they were just small peices of metal, but soon they would hold true power. He used Move Object to bring the barrel of the turbolser down to his level, and he took out a small magazine, used back in the long forgotten past they used to hold Metal slugs that would be firted from a chamber useing a chemical reaction. the design was obsolete now but elements of it could be used for what he was doing.

He cut a small hole in the side of the barrel of the turbolaser, while the Genesii worked on the power regulator. Soon, soon he could begin the work on his true masterpecice. But for now these first few steps would bring him pride, and he would prove to those directors that he was not a failure, and then he would kill them, yse, he would kill them for the better good of the empire. As his thought drifted there the barrel of the turbolaser began to fling around out of control, as Gorins grip on the force flew into chaos. He regained control in time, but not before crashing it into some delecate equipment, running tests on the turbolaser.

Damn it all![ he thought, and he felt the Genesii beginning to be amused by him. He decided to make an example of him. he reached out and use Dain Energy. The genesii began to feel lethargic and tired, then he began to feel like he had been running for hours, he collapsed as his heart began to slow, as he didn't even have enough energy to keep that beating. Soon all bodily functions stopped completely and he was dead. Gorin felt the energy rushoing though him, his mind became sharper, and he saw one of his main problems before him. With his eneahnced mind he quickly fixed it, 0one step farther along in Operation: Sigularity.

The other Genesii quickly returned to their work, afrid of Him now, anbd rightfully so. he continued to work, and laughed at the fate he was about to inflict upon them all.

 

The Bowels of Coruscant

Gerul Cast looked around the base that his team had created over the past month. This compound was setup better than most resistance cell compounds, being that it's connection to internal power was unshared by any other building. This allowed the team to have numerous machines running, computers hooked up and bounced around through the infonet, and a communications center. Also, mystreriously, water boilers had appeared at the door of the compound...someone knew that the team was there, and was apperently helping them. The team began, from then on, to boil all their drinking water, and to cook all the food that they ate. After the Coup on Imperial Center, the team was at a loss on what to think. Darth Gast, was in control of the Imperial Center, with Jello somewhere in hiding. Cast's main objective was to root out any foul play towards the Republic, and destroy the plans, however, plans could change, and his team could get thrust into an Imperial Civil war, which was somthing that was unwanted.

Gerul sat in his office when the Door buzzed.

"Come" Cast replied.

Into his office stepped Pierce, Gerul's friend and doctor of the outfit.

"I have setup bio-filters on all the air intakes as well as the doors and the water intakes. No biohazards should be able to penetrate these screens."

"Good", replied Cast. "It has occured to me that our unseen 'friends' seem to worry about contaminants...I will head there advice. Have you made contact with the other resistance cells placed on Coruscant yet? I haven't had a report on that.

"Sir, We're working on it, we sent out a signal on the infonet, disguised as an advertisement for tabac products, but with an underling encryption code...their slicers should come accrossed it within forty-eight timeparts."

"Good...the Proceed with phase two of the plan. Have the team members scout out the area around Imperial Palace, planting those monitors in the postions that we have agreed upon...oh, and keep your eyes open for our unseen benefactors...I'd like to see just what is following us"

"Yes Sir" Pirce replied,

Pierce left Gerul to his thoughts, as he went to carry out his orders.


Eriadu

OOC: I believe the 4th fleet is here, could someone bring me up to date on what is happening over this world...

 

IC - HIGH ADMIRAL TAV VEROYN : ERIADU


Sitting in his temporary office onboard Olympus Station, Tav Veroyn reviewed the reports coming in.

Tatooine attacked by the Vong and seeded with . . . something.

Chandrila assaulted by a large Imperial force. Rear Admiral Dravonia had retreated to Ralltiir and was request reinforcements for a counter strike to retake Chandrila.

Lost contact with Bakura.

He sighed. He contacted the astrographic institute, and requested a scout ship to be sent to Bakura to re-establish contact. They agreed.

A scientific convoy was already at Tatooine, leaving Chandrila his main concern. Sending an encoded message, he ordered the Second and Sixth Fleets to set sail for Ralltiir at best speed; they were close, maybe a day away.

There was one thing left to do.

Opening the comm screen, he encoded a personal message.

TO: Admiral Seti
From: High Admiral Veroyn
Encrypt: ourdarkesthour
Body: Greetings, my friend. I am sorry to do this, but I have no choice but to recall you to active service immediately. Please report to Eriadu for full briefing and orders.

He included a brief summary of events, including Dobski's tribunal, then sent the message.

Then he sat back, and remembered he had to go to Congress today. Sometimes, it didn't pay to wake up in the morning.

A comm officer piqued up over the rest of the hustle in the main control center of the CSA Building.

"Sir, Admiral Olli and the "Bounty Hunter" are on their way here."

"Oh... ok. Suppose Olli never could handle tihngs diplomaticly." Veng made a sour face. Getting up from his chair he said, "I'll just greet them at the main entrance. Continue with the assignments I had given you." And He walked out. Down the hall, down the stairs, down another hall, down the grand stairs, through the grand hall, and out the door, with all the security fringes in between, Veng waited at the main entrance.

I really aught to be less free about how much security I have a round me. A bodyguard would be helpful...

*The ancient planet Ossus; imbued with the Lightside of the Force...*

Tret Doneeta meditated with Master Bnar. Jedi Knight with his Jedi Master. Around them, several thousand Ysanna Shamans and warriors followed the Jedi's actions. Abruptly, Ood Bnar lit a lightsaber, and flung it at Tret Doneeta. The Twi'lek whirled from his meditation, and pulled his own light-weapon to hand. The argent blade parried the hovering opposition. Master Bnar was dueling using only his knowledge and skill in Telekinesis.
The saber dove at Tret's mid-section, but was parried back. The Jedi Knight shot out a hand, and grasped the lightsaber with Telekinesis. He pulled the Force to himself, and powered his Alter Perception skill. To everyone for several miles, he was invisible. Lightsaber and all.

Master Ood Bnar smiled, "Congratulations, Tret Doneeta. You are easily one of my greatest pupils. You make me proud to have taught you."

Gallant II

The supplies were loaded aboard the Petra and the Gallant II. Both ships set sail for the 2end Base.

10 Hours Later

Both ships reverted to real space and deployed shuttles to the 2end Base. From there, both ships waited for General Bravo to arrive.

Booster's personal shuttle lifted off and was followed by a few ships full of mining supplies and minners.

A few other shuttles lifted off from there and shot into hyperspace.

With Ryloth devastated, Ryll addicts galaxy-wide began to feel a bit of a shortage of the spice, and paid enormous prices for tiny amounts...

CONGRESS : ERIADU


The assembled dignataries of the New Republic took their seats, murmuring amongst themselves as to the reason they had been called for this special session. The tidal wave of conversation was cut short as several individuals entered the Congress. President Pax Dellos, resplendent in his robes of office, flanked by several Senate Guards, enterd first, taking his place at the dias. Next was High Admiral Tav Veroyn, fresh from the tribunal of fromer Admiral Dobski. High General Monroe completed the trio of military commanders. Behind them, flanked by Senate Guards, came Jason Bravo with a small retinue of followers.

President Dellos called for silence.

"My fellow delegates, I am very sorry to call you here unexpectedly, but there is a matter that requires urgent attention. As many of you are aware, former Fleet Admiral Bravo disappeared several weeks ago, taking several Republic Ships of the Line with him. Nothing was heard from him, until recent reports from the RPF Holonet, reporting that he had defeated the Chinogysee Empire . . . in the name of the New Republic."

There was a murmur that ran through the assembled senators. They knew about it, of course; and were outraged that a rogue could do this.

"Jason Bravo is here today to explain his actions in the former Chinogysee Empire."

The President sat, allowing Bravo to take the stand.

Two of Bravo?s Royal Guards flanked him, as Bravo stood in front of the congress and on the dias.

"I left the New Republic to complete a mission and an operation I was doing under High Admiral Cast. At the time, the New Republic was failing and do to a command failure within our high command, my operation was silently forgot about. I could not allow that to happen, so I retired. While I was setting up my operation, after my so-called defection, I was informed about the Chingyosee Empire. From intelligence reports provided by Colonel Channel Page, the Chingyosee looked like a peace loving, Jedi friendly, and a republic loving nation. My goal was to make contact and to bring the Chingyosee over to the New Republic?s side. Most sadly, that did not happen. While aboard their command ship, a Victory Star Destroyer class 1, me and my fellow Jedi were attacked. We were able to hold off 100 warriors plus until 300 more showed up in the hanger bay. The Chingyosee fight like Yuuzhan Vong warriors, to the death. After the Jedi and I were cornered, we prepared to fight to the death. Just then, New Republic Marines from the Gallant II arrived and the war started. Nerd, a member of Bravo Team and a Jedi, was killed in the battle,? Bravo had to take a short breath to stop the tears from coming. ?After clearing the ship of enemy warriors and crew, after 10 hours, we found out the truth about the Chingyosee. The Chingyosee Republic was a short live dgovernemnt, which was replaced by the burtal empire of before. The Chingyosee hate all Force users."

Bravo allowed the information to soak in and began again.

"After deciding to help the Chingyosee people and the people that were in slaved under the Chingyosee I launched a military campagin. The military campagin was brutal...very brutal. My men and I had to fight for every inch of all three Chingyosee planets. Along the way, we found mass graves, full of men and woman and...children. As my military forces marched on in the name of the New Republic which stands for freedom, justice, and the right to live a peaceful life, we found more horrors of war. Entire cities in flames. The enemy was burning their own cities as to not give us any shelter. While my ground forces and I marched on, my fleet did planetary bombarments. By the time we reached the second planet, my ground forces were battled harderen, but so were the Chingyosee Warriors. After we liberated the second planet in name of the freedom for which the New Republic stands for, we went on to their home planet.

The scientists were working frantically, and were coming close to finding a way to counteract the foul Vong infestation...

IC: Naboo
Although Naboo was already firmly within the New Republic camp, Kuna stopped off to once again extol the virtues of the NGR, and to thank Naboo for making their decision. She then left, her party soaring off for the next destination: Ryloth...

IC: Archeological Dig

For the past few months, Admiral Seti had been with the New Republic Archeological Society. It was good that the planet haad not been far from Eriadu, it looked like he would be needed, and soon.

Why can't I ever live in peace? Well, I am needed. . .

And so, the Admiral said farewell to his friends he had made on the dig. They had found many artifacts and even the remains of an ancient, pre-Republic civilization. But now the Admiral had to leave. He boarded his small ship and made the jump to Eriadu. One day across New Republic space and he would once again be in control of his old fleet. Little did Seti know that he would no longer have a fleet, but and armada. . .
