War of the Worlds 'fanfilm'?

    While searching for the leaked Super Blow spot for the Speilberg/Cruise take on War of the Wolrds I stumbled upon this site about some folks who have beaten them to the punch: Pendragon Pictures.

    Unlike the modernization this is a full period piece. I'm unsure if this technically classifies itself as a 'fanfilm' since it's going to be shown in select theatres and, I'm assuming, going to make some money. Still, a worthy effort for an indy production.

    It may have pretty decent production values, but it's fanfilm quality acting.

    That said, my sci-fi lit professor will get a kick out of it.
