Could someone explain how fedoras link to any of this? Is it about people thinking they look like IJ/ Bogart with it but really only come off douchey?
This is comedy / horror I guess their could be a little of that towards the female zombies, but I don't think they are picking on them, the guy zombies are just as evil

For a good year zombies have over-saturated the market so much that people got tired of them. They've been turned into the hipsters of genres. Apart from The Walking Dead and Plants Vs. Zombies, I don't see this genre having much steam left in it. Which sucks, because I'm working on the character designs of a friend's zombie game at the moment- but thankfully the zombies aren't what's meant to eventually sell it.
