Ironic isn't that the French officially beat the Germans in WWI. Check it out! And one of the only reason they didn't fight in WWII and fell under control in 6 weeks is they didn't want their country bombed to shreds. I wouldn't be to proud of Germany's history looking back only..mm 70 years? I wish you'd quite trying to argue all the time!!

Here's a German band I do like!

You should try listening to Rammstein one of these days. I don't know if you have an aversion to German or not, but they're very popular. Till Lindemann, the vocalist, is easily the greatest vocalist of all time, and their sound is a refreshing change from the garbage North America puts out.

 

Hmm...Point of Grace. I'm not much of a CCM fan. The Christian music I like is much heavier, like POD, Thousand Foot Krutch, Pillar, stuff like that. I was once a really big Newsboys fan though.

EDIT: For the song in my next post, I think it sounds better than Eminem's "The Real Slim Shady." I mean that not only lyrically, but musically as well, if you ever get a chance to listen to it.

It's Industrial. I just thought that, because of your heritage, you might not want something sung in German.

Actually Les Miserables is a musical not a play. A play usually is with verbal jargon without music. Musicals on the other hand are plays with music and so lovely at that! Opera is ok but that is when I start to fall asleep sometimes. I Luvvv musicals and orchestras! Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Gentlemen Prefer blondes and there are more I really like and have seen. It is only in Europe right now but the next one I want to see is "Notre Dame de Paris." I hear its great!

I'm not avoiding the subject of musicals, but I did want to share the mission of POD (they're my favourite band).

The reason some people wonder about POD's Christianity is because of their popularity in the secular music market. Truth be known, the message of POD is definitely Christian, but it's not orthodox. POD reaches the crowd that regular Christian music can't. They play for the crowd who's bands have demons and darkness as their logos. POD plays the same kind of music in the same atmosphere and portrays a hardcore Jesus instead.

Some people don't like the way that POD portrays Christ, but TOUGH LUCK! POD has a better ministry to that particular crowd than I have ever seen in my life, and to me, that is all that matters.
