Sac, CA Warp 11 is playing live in studio A on Kdvs 90.3fm 10/30/03 11pm to 12am.

Just got word from the band, they got booked in studio A (the stations live venue for local..and not so local artists)
you can hear the broadcast live that night...even on the web.

here's the info I have.

Warp 11 will be performing LIVE on UC Davis college radio station KDVS 90.3 FM's "Live In Studio A" show. Tune in on Thursday, Oct. 30, from 11:00 pm to midnight for a special Halloween training exercise - fully electric, fully loud, and (probably) fully clothed.

I did what I could. I'm hoping to be there when they play.

I got a flyer to put down at the station for other Dj's so they know about it.

I'm thrilled they got a halloween show it's fitting.

I'll try and be there so I can get some pics of the whole thing.

 

Warp 11 is also playing in Davis this Friday at the G st. pub.

It's a fun show but the Oct. 31st show will be a classic. Warp 11 and The Brodies will kick arce!

hmmm work the bearded leia into it...that's a good idea.

I did after all help gt warp 11 on the air (at least I helped a little)...we could get the whole band in the film.

now if we could get them to make some crazy theme song for it and give up thier love of trek for a day.

But the Warp 11 band are self proclaimed "media whores" so you might find a willing soul to lay down some film with you.

Here is a question... Has anyone heard of a band called "red-eye jedis" before? I think the guitarist and drummer were in that band before Warp 11.

Wow, it seems like forever since we last played a show. Well, I know we just played a gig with Richard Cheese at the Punchline but that was an acoustic set. And I know we recently played at the Powerhouse Pub in Folsom but we had to go on so early so that Channel 31?s ?Good Evening Sacramento? could film us, that no one was even drunk yet. So we figure we owe all of you a late night, schnapps guzzling Star Trek Rock Fest.

Show starts at 9:30. We are headlining and will probably hit the stage around Midnight.

They will be playing the G st. pub in Davis on Halloween!!! They will be dressed in Star Wars costumes! They are playing with the Brodies that night and it should be a great show. Come on down.

I know I can't go to the G St pub show, I have too much to figure out for this weekend.

 

I was talking about G st. We should tell everyone at the meeting Saturday to listen to KDVS at midnight though for Chanel. Do they get KDVS in the bay area??

(with a cpu) can listen. also the show can be downloaded up to 7 days later.

I think Live in Studio A is as well.

Ya know I wish I'd had warp 11 put some of us on the guest list for tomorrow...poop. I didn't even think about it.

I hope some of you caught WARP 11 last night....

They played as "Light Speed 12" and the first song in the set was "That's why i'm in a STAR WARS band"!!!

Darth Vader was on the drums... Obi Wan was on lead guitar.... Darthy Maul on vocals and g-string..... finaly Princess Leia on Bass and Vocals.

It was a hell of a show.
