Tampa, FL Warwick Davis in Brandon!!!!

Hey Gang

Just wanted to give you all a heads up, my good friend Greg owns a Autograph/Memoribila Shop...Sign Here Autographs On July 8th Warwick Davis will be doing a special signing appearance in his store which is located at the entrance to the AMC 20 in Brandon where the Mr. Formal Tuxedo's used to be.

If anyone has any questions please let me know...but I thought if there were any autograph collectors in the group this is a great chance to get stuff signed locally!

Warwick has been a part of many movies I love from of course ROTJ, Willow, Leprechaun, Harry Potter and countless others and from what everyone says is a really good guy too.
I'll definitely make the trip.

 

Hey vampyregodz, ask your friend Greg if he would like to make a costume event out of this. I volunteer to be there in full armor. We can make this a Fan-Force event with 501st and RL participation. I know Mr. Davis wouldnt mind having a couple of stormtroopers as an escort.

That would be great to do a costumed appearance. What a great way to keep the force strong. Warwick is such a cool guy. Love to see him again.

Do you know what time of day this will be taking place, since the 8th is Fri. I know I won't get out of work until at least 5 pm.

 

Also is this going to be a completly costumed event?

 

As of right now this is just an appearance that we are all going to go to, it is not an oficial event yet. What we are trying to do is make it one so we can set up a table as the Fan-force and then invite other groups, 501st and RL to join us. I for one plan to wear my armor and serve as "escort" for Mr. Davis provided we get the OK to do so. Every autograph Ive got has a pic of myself in armor with the actor/actress. Just a few troopers, 3-4 maybe, it sounds like this is a small place, but if there is enough space then Ill try to get as many 501st costumes as I can out to this, add in Rebel Legion and our own FanForce costumes and this can be a blow-out event. Again, this is space permitting and if we get the OK which we havent yet.

Looking forward to meeting Warwick and to hopefully a good showing from all the different groups. Need to find out a time though, because I have to be at a concert by 7pm.

 

Mike, any costumed event is an event where you can show up in character or your club shirt or whatever. We are NOT costume Nazis requiring a person to always wear their costume at an event. As you can put one together, I am sure you will want to wear it. Until there a smile is more than enough.

 

i would love to attend this event also...not just to see mr. davis...all of you, of course (wink wink)....anyway, it would be a great event as it may possibly be my last large group event and i would love to leave TDB1138 in grand and fun fashion. I will keep july 8 on my calendar...hopefully nothing will stand it its way...and if it does i do have my lightsaber to slice it down...hehehehehehehe

That sounds like a nice present to give him. So maybe it's NOT an ewok with a sabre, but the leprechan.;-) Or Willow or the goblin, Bwahahahaha. :-D

Hey you guys,

Denise and I talked about this tonight on the way home, we thought that a Large Teddy bear dressed up as a Ewok wearing a TDB1138 shirt saying that he's a honorary member of the group would be cool. This would give us all a chance to work on it, putting it together and doing a nice t-shirt for the bear to wear and make a 2nd for Mr. Davis to have. We could make a spear for the bear to have. I know we could all pitch in and buy a really nice bear to make this.

What do you guys think?

Im sure he has plenty of Ewoks, either been presented to him or gotten for himself. I liked the saber idea, seemed more original, but majority rules. I still like the T-shirt idea though, and we should try and get a group pic taken with him as well.
