CT Was Bail Organa the guy at the ending?

Notice the guy in between Han solo and chewbacca? The old man with the beard. I always thought that was leia's adopted father-bail organa. Is he?

Tyrannus, Bail had a goatee and died on Alderaan in ANH. He didn't Force ghost as a Rebel general.

Pay attention to the movies and read the novelizations. If the answers aren't found there, there probably is no answer.

The novelizations said that Bail died in the Aldearan explosion? How do we know that Bail and breha were on Alderaan when it exploded?

Wookiepedia says it, and if they weren't on Alderaan during the explosion then wouldn't they be in ESB and ROTJ or some EU books?

And, at a guess, he's in the cast list, and comparing pictures of the guy who the cast list says plays Dodonna, to the movie, will show that it's the guy with the beard.

I think we should just change this title to, "Did Leia's parents (adopted) survive the destruction of Alderaan". If I can't do it and change the title of my thread, we should ask a moderator..

Good point. Anybody on Alderaan during the explosion obviously died and were burnt to crisps, the question is, was Bail Organa and Queen breha on Alderaan during it's destruction. Neither the movies/films nor the EU confirmed they were on their planet during the explosion..

He hasn't turned up in the EU- and whenever Leia makes a mention of her father, it's generally in the context of him dying on Alderaan.

So- the presumption is that he died there.

Is there any evidence he was or wasn't on Alderaan (along with princess Leia's mother queen breha), during the destruction of Alderaan? If he was, there is no doubt he died and his body was burned to crisps.

Breha died some time before the movies.

While there was a theory that Imperials survived the explosion- with chunks of Death Star being blasted away- I think a later source said everyone actually aboard at the time, died. Tarkin made it clear he wasn't leaving "Evacuate, in our moment of triumph?" and we see him onscreen looking at Yavin IV in the moment before the Death Star explodes

Of course he didn't blooming escape, and anyone who has seen the film knows that.

Tarkin was shown seconds before the Death Star blew. He's dead. He was too arrogant in his belief that the Rebels wouldn't pose a threat to the Death Star.

Well, there were many soldiers fighting the rebels in battle. Not everyone was there.

Yeah. Not sure how somebody can escape the Death Star in 5 seconds. Tarkin definitley died, no question. These videos prove it.
