I know he wanted Kenobi alive but I was under the impression Count Dooku held Quinlan Vos in far higher esteem than Ventress.

It seemed in Jedi: Dooku he was working very hard for Vos's corruption.

I think that Dooku was looking at Vos to be his disciple.

    What say you?

    Makes sense.

He didn't seem to be very interested in Anakin. After all, Dooku thought that he himself was the Chosen One.

    RPG Sourcebook.

Note, in the early Quinlan arcs, it was Darth Sidious taking an interest. Dooku seemed to be take up the slack when Sidious grew cold on Vos.

I think Dooku also (briefly) consider Obi-Wan as well.

The depth of their cardboard characterisation is amazing.

Kenobi, we don't know a Flanders things about him. My NEGTC says homeworld unknown. We only seen them going through the motions, saving the world time and again. We don't actually know them.

    Dooks is even worse.

The irony is the Novelization more or less revealed he wasn't that much of a genius.

You know, for me it wasn't that the novelization revealed Dooku to be some colossal dunce. I saw it that Dooku, like Palpatine/Sidious, trusted in a relationship and it backfired on him. Dooku trusted that Sidious would protect him; that Sidious valued him and would save him from Anakin should Anakin turn. Call it what you want, but I would not characterize that as intellectual stupidity.

I've always viewed Dooku as highly princicpled and, when he found some one like Sidious (who is very exacting, demanding, and strict), I think Dooku couldn't fathom Sidious operating under any other M.O. other than the one Dooku assumed he was operating under.

And, I think Dooku came from a philosophy where he would welcome any former Jedi (or Force-user) that come to think as he did.

I guess that Dooku plotting Kenobi to kill Sidious and also Vos, he had the ridiculous notion that Palpatine didn't have the same notion.

    I suppose that's more arrogance.
