Was Luke's saber going to be Blue in Jedi?

I have the old "revenge" trailer on VHS tape. (Its bad looking, I hope this is on the DVD)
It shows shots Luke's saber looks to be blue. (Or could be my bad video tape)
Also Kenner released the Jedi Luke from the Jedi like with a Blue saber but then changed it to green like it the film.
So was he going to have blue, then it was changed at the last min?

 

I think it was gonna be blue to begin with.But they changed it to green because the blue didn't show up against Tatooine's blue sky.

 

Yep, OBIX1 has got it right. What's trippy is that, in some of the trailers for ANH and ESB, they show shots of saber action with basically no rotoscoping effects yet added at all. Also, as a kid, I figured it was George's idea to make Luke's new saber green and thought that was cool. Strange that it was only because how blue looked against the desert background.

Blue in ROTJ and now green in ANH, what the hell is going on here.

ANH: Blue
TESB: Blue
ROTJ: Green

 

Luke's blue ROTJ saber also appeared in TV adverts for Kenner's action figure range. I'm glad they changed it, green is nice.
