    I do like the snappy new title .
    so i would say Palpatine is in Love with the idea of having the Chosen one as a apprentice. the More powerful his right hand man, ( no pun intended )the better for the eventual destruction of the Jedi order.

    of course Palpatine was in love with Anakin. here is this young man, Full of potential and power, and it's being wasted, in Palpy's eyes.
