Rogue One Was "Rogue One" originally "Red Five"

If Disney can make a good movie from an opening crawl then they can make a great movie from a background charecter.

 

To be fair though it isn't just the opening crawl is the already established Empire/Rebel conflict including Tarkin and Vader.

I'm sure there is potential for a good film involving Boba Fett to me made but exactly what form it might take seems less obvious to me. Would he even be the lead character as a badguy?

 

With all the inclusions Boba had during the Clone Wars cartoons, it's not like we don't have part of a backstory already.

As for Red 5 I just assumed it was like Blue Harvest, a code name since there's 5 key members to the RO story if you don't count K2.

I've posted comments similar to this effect before but here goes again .. as a 40 year-old Star Wars fan I have NEVER understood what people found so great about Boba Fett. I loved Rogue One. I'm less enthusiastic about the Han Solo spin-off, but when it comes to the Fett spin-off, I'm just not really interested at all. He's a minor character. I think the most interesting addition to his story is that his father was the template for the Clone Army. As far as bounty hunters go, I found/find Cad Bane far, far more interesting as a character. A bounty hunter film that included Fett, Bane and others, well, that might/could be interesting.

 

I agree but of course Fett gets top billing.

Noted. I was, for my part, just responding to a point that another user made about a Fett spin-off being a "pretty thin concept".

 

It was just a general note, not directed at anyone in particular.

 

Artoo-Dion My apologies but when discussing the first spinoff it's hard not to bring up others.

 

It's OK as long as it's tied back to the thread topic somehow.
