But what about "Whatcha watching/reading/listening to"? Those are all "what are you"s. I spent like, 7 minutes rewriting that post. I gave it some thought. ;)

    Camera: DCR-VX2000

Edit: Premiere Pro. I'm still reading the manual though. Just got it.

SFX: After Effects 6.0 Pro. Nice, Nice program... Still learning...

Computer: (don't laugh) Windows XP Pro with 1 Pentium 3 800 megahertz processor and 256 megs of RAM, and a 20 gig harddrive. Believe it or not, that's what I use, and It works. Barely... Ok, I'll admit, I have an External 200 gig harddrive, which is the only thing that saves me.

    Genius: None.

Watcha = "What are you" or "What do you"

Y'all = "You all." So the title translates "What do you you all use?"

Instead use "Watcha use?" or "What do y'all use?"

Not that either are correct English.

QTT, is your 1700 one of the ones O/C-able to 2.2-2.3Ghz?

Just about all of the 1700's overclock to 2.2-2.4Ghz. That is unless AMD is now locking their 1700's as well as their Bartons.

I will now refrain from using any sort of slang or blatant miss-use thereof in any of my writing or future posting.

I'm currently looking at the Sony VX2100, but I'll probably end up getting another Canon GL-2. Canon's always been good me.

Well, each camera has a story.... The GL-1 was given to me by a friend who did wedding photography. He bought it when he decided to try adding video to his services. It didnt work out too well, and since I was the one who he always brought along to do the video, he ended up giving me the camera.

The XL-1s was used as payment from a client who purchased it for me to use on their corporate videos. When they couldn't come up with the $8000 they owed me, and I still had the camera, I told them let me keep the camera and I'd write their bill off! :) That company shortly after filed for Chapter 11....

The GL-2 was bought with money from weddings I shot. It's main purpose was for shooting the wedding of my friend and partner in movies.

And last, the ZR was bought last summer to satisfy the inner moviemaker. I'd been reading about some of these "avante gard" filmmakers using low end video to make movies and decided I'd try my hand at the low end. :) Once I get some free time, I'll probably shoot something with it! :)

All these camera's were acquired over the last several years, so it's not that I'm loaded... Just remember, sometimes it pays to be in the videography business. And then there are the times that while editting you keep asking yourself what you were thinking. However, when you get a chance to start working on an actual movie, it all comes back to you, as to why you do what you do. :D

God some of you peoples PCs suck. Mine is a Pentium 4 3.2 Ghz. Its like lightning. I feel bad for some of you. The one person to come closest to me in speed is Spiff. I only have an 80 gig HD though. As far as a camera goes its a JVC somthin or other(Its way to late to go look[plus I am afraid of the dark]at it). I edit with Premier. I do SFX w/ AE (of cource) and Cinima 4D (if i can find the CD again) and a bunch of other much less important programs.

    Well, ther you go.
