Saga Watching my Love ~~ A Padme poem

Hi. It's not often I post my poetry online so no flames. I actually posted this on another thread(links in my sig) but I think that maybe some might be too intimidated to go to an all poetry thread. Especially if poetry's not really they're thing.

So if you like it or if you don't I'd really enjoy your comments on it.

Okay. Here goes...


Watching My Love



Watching my love fall from the man that I held so dear
Watching my love murder casually, his regard for life gone I fear
Watching my love betray his mentor; turning from all that?s righteous and true
On a canvas of hate...anger and vengeance he now drew

Watching my love silently; quiet, without a word
Watching my love in stealth; praying he hasn?t heard
Watching my love decay; solitary in his path
Hoping I don?t protest to loud and come across his wrath

I watched as his new master corrupted him in his ways
I watched as he deceived my love; covered the truth in haze
I watched as my love put himself in my line of fire
Waiting for me to stumble; waiting for me to tire

He must have known that I would not
Give up all I was fighting for
Neither would I let my soul be bought
Ravaged by darkness, blackened and poor

I also believe my love?s not gone
Left is a spark of the man I deeply cared
Darkness will end, followed by a soothing dawn
I only wonder how the rest have fared

Gee, I can't think why anyone would want to do that.

This was lovely Jedi_of_Destiny and I thoroughly enjoyed every line.

This was chilling:-

Hoping I don?t protest to loud and come across his wrath
Padme fears him... [face_shocked] and you've captured that emotion...it's put in a sublte manner...but her fear cannot be denied. It's evident in those words. [face_shocked]

That last verse is so powerful...

I also believe my love?s not gone
Left is a spark of the man I deeply cared
Darkness will end, followed by a soothing dawn
I only wonder how the rest have fared

Padme still has hope...she still believes Anakin will be redeemed some day...
