    Boba Fett Treatment:
    Death by ridiculously unsatisfying means.

And yes... Kenard was a giant veejay!

I thought he had a perfect death. It said a lot. So did what happened to his body.

No. It was completely fitting and a lot more true to life than what I'm sure just about everyone was hoping for (a final showdown with Marlo).

Edit: Just saw Diggy's post. Very much agreed, and also a good point about what happened to his body.

I wasn't expecting s big showdown. The irony of the kid who was imitating Omar just 2 seasons prior to be the one who ultimately kills him, had a poetic ring to it. I still didn't find it satisfying, especially since Marlo essentially walks away with a slap on his wrist in the end.

I always respected the realism of this show. It was very grounded compared to shows such as Breaking Bad & Sons of Anarchy that had tendencies to be over the top & convenient. That was what I loved about the show, even though the politics really irritated me. That said... it was real.

Sounds very much like the way life usually is.

I also love how they conclude with Micheal being the new Omar and Dookie being the new bubbles. Art at it's finest.

I intensely disliked Marlo. But even I can appreciate him getting a slap on the wrist due to his I'll-gotten gains. And then what does he do? Go back to the corner to sling. Because that's what he is.

I ultimately see the foreshadowing of him not changing his ways & Michael taking him out when he least expects it. That... would be most satisfying.

The Wire & The Sopranos are head & shoulders my favorite dramas.

More than just that, they also hint at the backstories of both Omar and Bubbles. Both of them were written as being highly intelligent and perceptive, and likewise for Michael and Dukie. The ending cuts both ways.

The Wire is the greatest TV show ever made. When I rank my favorite TV shows, Lost is at the top, but that's cuz it's a list of my favorites. If I rank the best, The Wire is at the top without a doubt. It's as perfect a show as there ever will be. I can't wait to watch it in HD. It won't be the same, but it'll be cool to see things differently this time around.

It's "the more things change, the more they stay the same" situation.

That's exactly what I was getting at. A so-called passing of the torch to the next generation of stick up boys, dealer, and dope fiends

One of the underrated moments in the show was the conversation between Bunk and Omar in Season 3, which was almost Bunk's exit from the season. Not completely, but he didn't appear much in the rest of Season 3.

My favorite moments of the series were the serious one on one conversations. Carver & Daniels season 1. Sobatka & Sobatka season 2. Carver & Colvin season 3. McNulty & Stringer season 3. McNulty & Bodie season 4. Carver & Herc season 5. You get the point.
