Bria, ummm... not that I know of. I should let you know, too, that I'm a trove of useless trivia info. I know all kinds of bizarre and stupid things that have nothing to do with anything. **laugh** That's where that gigantic word came from up there (it's an actual medical condition, although it's very rare), and also how I know what the heck Lactobacillus acidophilus is.

Mick, without knowing that explanation (for your signature), I'd be very very frightened of you now.

*shrug* Everyone who meets me seems to reach the point of being afraid at one point or another... No idea why, though one friend claims it's because I can do black magic, which by his definition is just the simple genetic manipulation of plasmids and inserting them into bacteria. What's so frightening about that?

Pneumono - having to do with the lungs
ultra microscopic - super teeny tiny itty bitty
silico-volcanic - volcanic rock is often silicone based, and called a silicate.
osi - just there because someone wanted to put it there (no meaning)
osis - a medical condition or disease.

It's a lung disease that miners are diagnosed with. Not sure if it's the same thing as "black lung" (from coal mining), but it's caused from breathing in too much volcanic dust during mining.

I'll let Mick explain the acidophilus; after all, she's the one who started the panic in the first place.

Ah, heres another latin lesson for you:
Lacto- having to do with milk; bacillus- rod shaped bacteria; acido- acid; philus- loving
Therefor Lactobacillus acidophilus is a rod-shaped bacteria that lives off lactic acid (found in milk) and prefers low pH (acidic environments). Its used in making yogurt and is common in the human intestine to help us digest lactic acid. Whew, too late and a friday night for me to actually be thinking
