I watched Rushmore and really enjoyed it most of the time. There were some scenes in the movie that really did not progress the movie that well, but it has been awhile so I cannot recall specifics. But, some good laughs and some highly sensitive moments.

No way that I could provide a list of my favorite movies...we would have to break it down into catagories such as
    BASEBALL MOVIES
    1. Bull Durham
    2. The Natural
    3. A League of Their Own
    4. Major League
    5. The Sandlot
    6. For the Love of the Game
7...holy poo, this could go on for awhile :)

I was a little disappointed with Lost in Translation. Bill Murray's performance was great, but I didn't really care for the movie. I was probably expecting too much from all the hype.

Ghostbusters is definitely one of my favorites.

Some of Murray's best work was definitely on SNL (especially when he was the lounge singer singing Star Wars :)

Garfield looks absolutely terrible though, and I'm not sure I will even watch it on video.

Lost in Translation was a pretty deep movie. Coppola was making a movie about being alone with millions of people around you. Bill Murray had a great performance in the movie...he showed a great range of acting abilities...but mostly how sad his life is because he is always alone...with his wife and kids, with his new found friends in Japan and with his career. It is a tough movie to like though. I do not think that my wife really appreciated it much as a movie.

I understood what Coppola was trying to say (I minored in film studies at IU, BTW). I appreciated certain moments of the film (loved the scene where Murray was filming the scotch ad). It just didn't wow me like I thought it would. It's an interesting little film, I just didn't love it. I liked The Virgin Suicides much better.

I did not care for The Virgin Suicides at all. The movie appeared to be pretty trivial and meaningless. I guess that I missed the whole point of the movie itself??? Maybe you can explain it to me.

You have a film studies degree? That is pretty darn cool. I didn't have time for interesting stuff when I got my BS. I have English, Mathematics and Education...I am currently working on a Technology Masters.

    Thanks for the insight.
