Speaking of bad smells. I don't think most people have any idea how bad hockey equipment smells. It is the most god awful smell on the earth.

 

Yeah, it's pretty damn BAD! BUT if you actually wash it from time to time, the stench is not so strong. Back in California, I used to play with a group of guys who never washed their equipemnt...UGH. Try sitting in a car with 4 guys who don't wash their equipment after playing pick up for a couple hours...i'm amazed i didn't pass out....

 

yea, play with a group of guys....it's amazing what I find out about her from reading the boards.

 

I used to have to buy new gloves almost every season. That stuff is nasty

Isn't it weird that it has SUCH a distinctive stench? I mean, you smell it and it's like "THAT'S the smell of hockey"

 

Yeah it's definitely a distinctive odor.

 

The best smell is when you first step into the rink. The ice and sweat smell mixed together smells like victory!

A few years back we took some people to a Scorps game (had never been) and one of them was like "ew what's that smell?" I was like "that's the smell of hockey!!"

 

Man, I missed the fart party last night? Crap. I had chorizo and egg for breakfast this morning, so it's only a matter of time before the butt music starts. Guess I'm playing solo, though.

 

No one farts solo when I'm around. I've always got one on deck.
