We Kicked Butt!

Thanks to all who made Vulkon 2001 a sucess depite the involvement of other sci-fi clubs such as KLAW who maintained to their members that the Con. was CANCELLED!...It is evident that"they" would rather see their memebers excluded than take part of a "life-afffirming" act than participitating with us! We seek to affirm fandom while they are waiting for "death" to become more fun fun and fashionable for their "death barge"....This is ridiculous....either a fan club is appropriate for all occasions or is it anti-thetical to all occassions....is this not a hobby?

 

I have to agree with Axton, the Fandomenace members went to this convention knowing that most of the guests and dealers had cancelled with good reason. We were determined not to let the actions of the terrorists take away the good feeling we get from enjoying sci-fi. We as Americans cannot forget the innocent victims of this heinous act, but we also cannot let the terrorists break our spirit. I for one am looking forward to the day these monsters are brought to justice one way or another. In the meantime let's all try to live by some of the great examples we learn from enjoying Star Wars and all sci-fi.
