We need a "Rebel Stand" Forum!

The book is coming out in less than 2 weeks, and not everyone will be buying it at the same time or read it at the same rate, so, just to be sure noone gets spoiled by accidentially going into a thread with a spoiler warning in the title, even though they don't want to be spoiled, we better start a whole new forum for it.

yes, your right. DJ rebel stand and the next book are set at the same time. the idea of a forum is too large. I think just having a few threads (spoiler and nonspoiler) is a better idea.

Yet, he has a valid point. As we've seen with SbS, someone can be just as easily spoiled really bad by novel spoilers than they can by movie spoilers.

The media of the final product is independent of the issue of spoilers.

And, calling someone a tr011 who has a valid, on-topic point can be considered tr011ing in itself.

Hey dude, I'm just trying to point out how stupid it is to not allow spoilers here for one thing, but to allow them for another.

When Rebecca191 gets the book early (and she will ...) and she posts a thread about it, with a spoiler warning in the title, will it be locked? No.

If I read the AotC book before someone sees the movie and post a thread about it, will it be locked? Yes.

Total double standard.

I called him a tr011 for using the current AOTC issue, creating a separate AOTC-EU spoiler forum, and taking it to its most idiotic extreme -- creating a forum for every book.

It will minimize what happened with SbS from happening to Rebel Stand. (Or any other novel).

The media doesn't matter.

If people are worried about spoilers and one way to minimize it from happening is to add a spoiler forum, then it's rational to begin discussing the need for such a forum for a book which will be released soon.
