We see his speeder hit, but we dont see how it crashes. He screams, but a direct hit from an AT-AT would instantly kill and obliterate someone, not give them time to scream.
I assume that if not from being shot from the AT-AT, he was killed due to the injuries he sustained when he crashed..
Yep, crashing in the flying equivalent of a Mini Cooper with laser guns tied to it probably kills you pretty well.
We never saw Tarkin die either. For all we know he held on to a piece of debris and surfed it down to one of Yavin's moons where he lived out the rest of his life like a space Robinson Crusoe. Bonus points to anyone who gets the reference.
Has nobody seen Dark Star? I am disappoint.. Luke's speeder obviously wasn't hit as bad, it looked like he had some kind of electrical failure as opposed to a gaping hole in his fuselage.
Massive explosion from back of speeder=/=a hit that kills your gunner and then causes electricity to arc all over the cockpit. Not the same.
