Bantha Tracks, the newsletter of the official Star Wars fan club asks:

Where Were You in '83? May 2003 will mark the 20th Anniversary of Return of the Jedi, and we'd like to take a stroll down memory lane in Bantha Tracks. Anyone have photos from the early 1980s that feature you in ROTJ gear? Photos you'd be willing to share? Come on... there must be one of you in Ewok PJs somewhere. If so, please email us at banthatracks@paizo.com.

We're also looking for some good memories of seeing ROTJ way back in '83. And one more thing... are you or your fan group planning anything special for the anniversary? Let us know at banthatracks@paizo.com

    Yes, still have the article.

Yes, I was alive in 1969, but I was not yet 5 when the moon landing occurred on 20 July, so I have no real memory of it.

I have stronger memories of later missions (probably the last 2) when they would roll in large black and white TVs on tall stands into the classroom and we'd watch parts of the mission.

I wasn't allowed to have "boy" stuff.... which included anything that wasn't barbie or my little pony.

I liked My little pony, but hated Barbie, I liked some boy stuff, notably SW action figures and transformers.

My bf missed the moon by ten days. I never realized that.

Barbies were useful for learning how to do fancy braids and sew clothing, but otherwise I liked transformers, he-man, Thundercats, and most of all, Ewoks and Droids (although the droids gave me nightmares for some reason...)
