Webcam/video advice needed

Hey guys, I'm thinking about starting to post my own weather forecasts on YouTube and if it works maybe even developing my own website.

This is the kind of thing I'm looking to do.

Its easy enough to get a webcam and just do a video with my mug in front of the sceen, but how do I go about posting charts and other online material in the video? Presumably I need extra software to use with the webcam? Which webcams are easiest to use for a computer illiterate like myself?

Any help/advice much appreciated.
