Cincin, OH website domain name

It's time for us to get a real website and that means picking a domain name. It should be something that says who we are but is still easy enough to remember when advertising for ourselves.

What I'm looking at right now is through fortunecity.com it's $89.50 for a year or $8.95 a month (2 free months going for the year). Based on the numbers at our last 2 meetings the $89.50 breaks down to $7 a person or less. (13 people, not the same 13...) for that we would get

100 MB of web space
5 GB of file transfer
10 FREE email accounts
10 FREE email forwarding
FTP Access,
MS FrontPage or FREE Online Site Builder
www.yourdomain.com

i would think 100 mb would be enough for what we want to do with it. I'm hoping that the 5 gigs bandwidth will hold us, at least for now. After the year is up we can refigure what we need and go from there.

If everyone is cool with it we can collect the money at tuesday's meeting. (and if we definately are cool with it I might be able to go ahead and pay for it and i'll just take the money we collect tuesday as payback for it.

what's everyone think of this and about what name we should register as?

We can also have a costumes gallery, and a section about our costume workshop!!

I'm in. Sounds Great. I was hoping for something shorter in the URL though perhaps. Cincyff.com sounds best to me.

 

short is good as long as it still says who we are. which cincyff does.

This:greater-cincinnati-tristate-triforce.com/.net/.org etc is a little long!

 

I thought most of them were way too long too, but I still put them on the poll just in case. Seems like we are narrowing in on cincyff.

 

Looks like Cincyff.com will walk away with the sweep.

I thought I was going to be able to float the bill till we could take up a collection, but that wasn't the case, we may have to wait till the next meeting to take up a collection...

I really don't like looking at them, trhere was so many thing not quite ready!!! (Jetpack too low, hoses not flexible enough, no neck seal, pants too long, left chest armor too low, belt too high, and especially helmet too small!! got a new one on the way)Corrected everything exept the chest and helmet, should be 100 % done next month Jango 2.0 is way superior

Nah, the costume doesn't look that bad, just 85%finished... We'll post new as soon as I have my helmet taken care of.

Let's see... I would say give me another 7 weeks and all 4 costumes should be finished.

If you want to count all our costumes, there is also ESB Han, Tatooine Padme, Slave Leia, Qui-Gon Jinn.
