To make it easier for whomever has been elected to continue with the build of the website...

I have gone to the base and created a folder within the files section called appropriately enough "WEB STUFF". Within each section is a subsection or folder. This is where everyone will put the appropriate content. To make it easier for future updates, please put the date in the name of the file that you are creating.

Here is an sample folder breakdown for everyone:
Files folder > WEB STUFF > CALENDAR > Listings group events > *content (put stuff here - story text and accompaning images)

Here is an ideal naming convention for text updates:
    week101402

-this specifies that this is content(information) that is for a specific week beginning with October 14th, 2002. This, again, will help with updates and archives.

Here is an ideal naming convention for images. (stick within the 8.3 rule -8 character names with a 3 character extension -this will help with various browsers and platforms)(all lower-case names with no spaces or funky characters *no dashes but underscores are good):
    i_groph1.jpg

-this specifies that this is an image of a group photo and that it is number 1 within a series of images with a jpeg extension.

This should help everyone going forward.

This should not be the responsibility of the developer/designer to track down this information from specific people, but rather specific people gathering information to populate the site. The developer/designer is not the news reporter and not necessarily the editor either, just someone to compose and present it to the public. If these guidelines and roles are followed, then there should be no problems going forward.
