Pittsburgh, PA Website Update

Pittsburghfanforce.com should now point to these boards without any problems. The actual website itself will hopefully be ready soon, and then the url will point to it.

 

Terry sent me the following documents for the website.
- About Us
- Bylaws
- Faq
- Padawan Mentor Program

In addition, I linked the messageboards, and there is a section for a poll (i.e. what is your favorite Star Wars movie), and of course info about the Comicon.

So besides the before mentioned items, what else should be included? Keep in mind that suggestions should be accompained with content and idealy the additional sections of the site will consistently be updated. For example, if you want fan fiction on there then send me your stories and they will be posted, along with new fan faction every month or so.

 

Ok, the website is now active but it is not finished yet.

I'd really like to have some sort of members page where we can put our pics, a short little bio thing, costumes, etc.

I will look into the best option for a member's page and I'll just link to greencat's photobucket. Perhaps this weekend I will have the member's profile section ready.

 

I have a ton of pictures that were on the old site and could burn them along with any logo/print things I have Dan.

Events Calendar is now up. If something needs added just let me know.

 

You can now create an account and have a profile. Within you profile you should be able to add in photos and a bio. I will work on setting up a blog type option within your profile that can allow for reviews.

Please give it a try and we will work out the bugs.

I did notice in the FAQ section the bit about the greatest Epic Duels champ of all times You should add the pic of you holding the trophey.


Could you add a fanfic page? And a page for fanfilms that could list the links to the Stormies, and Tradmic's films, and dlocke's Vader film? And maybe a costume page, to show off the many cool costumes our folks make.

Also, under the ComiCon section of the website, could you add the info about the Friday Night FanForce Social, the Saturday Night North East FanForce Awards and Banquet (including info on payment or you could just link to the thread that has all the details about payment), and the Sunday Costume Contest? And what's up with the article in German about coffee and sweetbuns?

I'm having trouble registering for some reason. Keep getting a forbidden page when I try to send the info.

I made a small change, please try to register again. If that doesn't work, delete cookies, history, and temporary files from your browser settings and try again. If that doesn't work, then I am not sure what is wrong, but be as detailed as you can with the problem and I will find a solution.

 

There are now sections to submit fan fic and book reviews. You just need to have a user account and you can make submissions. Please give those a try for anyone who has something to add. Your submission should also appear within your profile. I'll work on any bugs if any pop up... and they will.

User profiles have an About Me section and a section for pictures.

I'll work on the fan film stuff. I will try to add a user profile tab for you tube videos.

 

I've started to post my horrible fics on the website, with more to come. Someone else better post some fics, also. (yeah, I'm lookin' at you TRADMIC. )

 

Right now there are only four people signed up on the website as members, so if more don't appear soon then I will start adding profiles in myself, and the best part is that I can select your icon! Do you really want this as your icon???

A short Comicon Recap was added. We will need pics of SWAP at CIV. If these can be uploaded while the Celebration is happening, I will put them on the website.

 

Thanks for updating the website, Super Tech Dude! I will be taking a zillion (or at least 524) photos at CIV, but I don't know if I'll be able to upload them from LA . . .
