    Tonight at 8pm:

    Clone Wars
    Smallville
    That 70's Show
    ED

Three VCRs, Four shows, any suggestions? And I need to tape them all because my parents aren't home. I'm going to have this problem next Wednesday as well. So this is serious.

Pick the one you like the least and tape Clone Wars over the first five minutes.

Or... tape Clone Wars on a later showing.

Miss the beginning of Ed. Ed and Carol will never hook up; if they did, there'd be no show. I'll admit, it's a funny show, but the love plot is just crap.

Better yet, just set one VCR to tape one show while you watch the other. Then your problems are solved, unless you really need to tape all 4.

    EDIT: Typo.

Ed is this stupid show my mom likes. I need to tape that for her. So I need to figure out if I want to miss the first five minutes of That 70's Show or Smallville. I can't decide.

Dude. It's obvious. Your family needs to purchase a 4th VCR.

Do you really need to record Clone Wars?

No I don't need to tape clone wars since I can download it, but every night after I tape it, I rewind my tape and watch all of them straight through.

Can't you just tape the CW encore performance later on? Or even the Marathon they're running after the series concludes?

Well, you can't watch the other 3 shows online. I'm taping Clone Wars too, just so I can watch 'em on my TV, but at least you'll still be able to see it after tonight. Skip Clone Wars and watch it online tomorrow if you must.

    The problem is choice.

There is no such thing as 'Choice'.

Yes. And, TiniTinyTony, you obviously cannot see past this choice because you do not understand why you have made it.

Remember, you've already decided what you're gonna do, now you just need to understand why.

Watch the Clone Wars, tape it and get the rest of one of your shows...

Yeah, seriously, that's what I'd do. Clone Wars is only 3-4 minutes long compared to the other half-hour shows. :)

Ok you have 3 VCRs and 4 Shows

Here is what I would do.

Tape Clone Wars on 1 VCR
    Tape Smallville

    Or

    That 70's Show on VCR # 2

And ED on VCR 3 (Since you have to tape it)

Watch the first 5 mins of the show you are not taping, than tape the rest after clone wars is over. :)

    OR:

Watch Clone Wars tape the other 3 shows

All of the clone wars chapters air on Friday,
the 21. Tape all the episodes at this date. :)

    Or:

Go buy a VCR from Best Buy and take it back after the show is over. :)

Well, the dilemma is over this Wednesday. Thankfully my parents are home so I can tape 3 shows and watch 1.

I'm going to tape That 70's Show on VCR #1 that is connected to TV #1. While taping, my parents will watch Smallville on TV #1. Then I'm going to tape Clone Wars (and watch it) on TV and VCR #2. Then I will tape Ed on VCR #3. That way my parents will tell me what I missed on Smallville, which hopefully won't be anything since the first 3-5 minutes consists of a quick opening, the theme song, then commercial.

So I think I'm set and it should all work out.

Ed rules -- but that's why I have a TiVo and a Time Warner DVR cable box (which has two tuners)... ;)
