Week 4, daily task 2. An ode to solojones.

Her name is Rachel. She loves Kevin Spacey
She's got a temper like Cagney and Lacey.
But that's alright. And she's okay.
Because she's got more talent than Warren Beatty

She's got a band named Worm, and a she's one of a kind.
The smartest 15 year old that you ever will find.
She likes old movies and all kinds of cheese,
I don't know how she feels about various peas.

She's got a great sense of humor and she let's it shine,
Rachel don't try to hug that porcupine!

Yay!

for added effect, you can imagine that David Hasselhoff or David Jones sing this. Or anyone with the first name David.

You should also imagine that in secret, Rachel fights evil robots because she's so powerful.

Those evil natured robots
they're programmed to destroy us
She's gotta be strong to fight them
So she's taking lots of vitamins
cause she knows that
It'd be tragic
if those evil robots win
I know she can beat them

That, John, is one of the loveliest odes I've ever heard.

I only hope that Rachel likes it, and it does justice to her legend that, undoubtedly, the hill folk will sing around their campfires.

During that last part, about fighting the robots and all, I just ripped off the Flaming Lips.

I was going to right more about how Rachel is also a steel driving girl, but it's probably best to leave John Henry's tale be. Well, that and you don't work in a steel mill...yet.

 

No, I don't work in a steel mill yet. I'm working up to that. But I do fight evil robots, of course.
