I don't really like quote-athons because most quotes I know are German.

But then they're not quote any longer. You have no idea how much some translation changes stuff.

It starts with titles.
To make it easy on you I'll give you the most stupid title translations from Germany I know of:

The Prophecy -> God's Army

The Black Cauldron -> Taran und der Zauberkessel (Taran and the magic cauldron)

Also, you might remember that '4 Marriages and a Funeral' start with the repition of the fobidden f-word. In GERMAN it starts with thr repetition of the forbidden s-word. In English. So if I translated THAT, you'd suddenly have German?

Also, ther German dub of SW has an extra sentence in Wuher's bar on Tatooine wherer Luke says to the barkeeper: 'Hey, you got one for me to?'
And the German title of ESB was okay-ish. They spellt 'zurück' wrong and suddenly the it was 'züruck'.

No, I have no faith in German dub...

It's okay. If told to translate.... it would turn out like the original.

But the 'walking carpet' turns into a 'walking bedside carpet'
