i don't think being a little late should be a big problem, but not being able to be on friday might be, of course that will be the very last shift, so hopefully others could be on to help close up shop. but that's really late for me since i have to work sat. morning.

you can do whatever you want to the roving reporter, you can even be the roving reporter

the roving reporter, doesn't have VIP status yet but i'm working on it.

 

Hehe. I'd love to see the Roving Reporter just completely take the piss out of Community people.

After some "Diary Room" discussions with Tom, the following options are available to help with proceedings:

1. The Beaker sock will be allowed to post one "advertising" thread for the station, and be allowed to post, in character, in the thread. (Colours allowed)

2. A "Roving Reporter" sock may be used to post in Community, as long as it remains completely in character.

In both instances, you'll have to say in the signature the reasons why you have colours, also. Also, they can be used by all the housemates.

i'm thinking once we go on the air all the organizing should take place in the secret shed so the behind the scenes stuff really stays that way. what do you guys think?

so we will have 4 threads, one for each time slot. (ie. "BBBC - The Morning Show", or whatever you want to call it, they should all have BBBC in the title though)

we should also have a thread that's just like the "Welcome to BBBC Radio" thread where we can list the schedule and announce upcoming events. good idea?

also, April didn't show up tonight but i'm going to assume that with her job the evening slot will be the only one she can host, and since she has to at least co-host a time slot that will bump either Kerryn or Meg. Kerryn you seemed to like the idea of being the roving reporter, maybe you could just concentrate on that while your on-line in the afternoons and evenings?

and everybody should be able to contribute special features at any time they want. just let the current host(s) know what you're doing.

i need to go to bed soon, but does this sound good to everyone? are we ready to go?

 

Sounds good. I'm usually online all day between 1pm and midnight anyway, so if you need anyone to fill in at the mike, I'm your girl.

Otherwise, I'll just be reporting from the streets.

Well we need to hype it up a bit, so I say go for it whenever you like.

Most likely it will get buried under threads like "Cheese is good" and "My best friend bit me!" but what can you do?

so, unless anybody has any objections the schedule is now this:

Morning - Derek and Erik
Afternoon - Casper and Tom
Evening - April and Meg
Late Night - Tashi

with everybody chipping in as the reporter, and with special reports and what not.

also, everybody can come up with a more creative name for their show. for instance, if Derek and Erik want to call their's something like "BBBC Mornings - The Zoo Crew" or whatever that would be cool, just "BBBC - The Morning Show" is fine too...okay, i'm deliriously tired on probably not making any sense...



...but i do think we're just about ready to go.

alright, i'm off to bed.

good luck with the first show Derek and Erik. i'll be up way before it's over so i can do some reporting and create Beaker's thread in the JC if nobody has yet.

Well, I think that we should post the Beaker thing in the morning. It'll allow us to have something to look at when people come to see what's up.

yeah, i agree. post it right around the time that you start the show. just be sure to mention that the thread is not only an advertisement for the station but also the place where everybody asks the DJs for advice, requests songs, answers trivia questions etc.

the thread could just be called something like "BBBC Radio", with a detailed desription inside. then Beaker can post more ads later as a creative way to up the thread if it does get buried.

The breakfast crew on JJJ here call themselves "2 fat arses and a microphone" which is pretty funny -- not that any of you are fat arses.. err, I just thought it was -- nevermind.
