I thought I'd make a new topic for this semi-on-going series of strange and interesting website links.

Today's link is: Make Yourself in Lego
You can even give your Lego self a lightsaber. :)

Not really weird, but a rather good (if hard) online game of Battleships (400K download) played against the computer using the Flash plug-in. :)

Easy ... you but the same red LED above, but spray paint the case silver (car panelbeaters do a good job - for a price). :)

OK, now that you've all had time to "Knight Rider-ise" your computer cases, here's a way to "Han Solo-erise" you're optical mouse - just replace the Serena Lego figure with a Han Solo Lego Minifig, and you've got your very own Han Solo Carbonite Mouse.

    :D

    Cute! :D

    But instead of Han-Solo-in-carbonite mouse, why not try a Yoda-in-carbonite-mouse? 8-}

That seems to be the only image on the whole page of icons that doesn't load. :(

Well, keep this in mind next time you see the box with a red cross in it: drag it to the adress bar and you will see the image. :) Simple as that.

Nope. I tried that and visting the website, that was the ONLY image on the whole page that wouldn't load. :(

It is working now though - interesting concept. :)

It must have been either my cache file or more likely my useless ISP's "service". [face_plain]

    ISNP--Internet Service Non-Provider. :)

Mine's not too great either. World Net or something... I forgot what it's called. I usually to to dial up twice to get the connection going, and sometimes it's so slooooowwwwww. [face_plain] Right now it's 49kbps, the fastest it will ever go.

I almost always get 50kbps connections, so it's not really any faster.

Having used JetStart, I can't say I'm impressed - it's not that much faster. You're paying basically double the price for double the speed, but it's still WAY too slow to download things like the Star Wars trailers in their largest size. :(

I'd disagree, using decent acceleration software makes the most of the extra bandwidth, I'm getting 4-5 times the download speed on jetstart using DAP. pages also load much faster than standard 56k and gaming is lots more lag free (unless ya strike a 56 k host!!) Mind you as my employer pays for mine and for most of my phone bill I guess I could be biased. :)

JetStart or JetStream?? JetStart is pretty useless - PLUS, most of these faster connections are capped. :(

jetstart, and it is capped but 5 gig per month for international trafic with unlimited national traffic isn't too bad.

That's a hopeless website - they ask all those great questions, but give no answers. :(
