Just wanted to say "hey!" Hope that everyone had a great summer. Let's get geared up for a great year of recruiting! We want to make this a great year for growth. I know it seems impossible, but the more positive we are, the better off things will be. Spread the word, spread the word, spread the word. I know that we can do it!

How's it going for you all?

 

We haven't even met this year. We have had a hard time with recruiting and such. We tried several different things, but nothing seems to be working. Maybe Lafayette just isn't big enough. I don't know. I'm stumped!

 

Hmmm... I know that some Fan Forces recruit by sticking a small flyer in SW books at local libraries or book stores. Have you tried that?

 

Haven't tried that yet, but I was thinking about it. Who knows though. I've been trying to think about different things. I'm still up to do it, but the recruiting failure doesn't help.

 

SO there's a thread for students? I'm saying hi in advance since I'm coming to Purdue this fall.

I graduated in May, so it's unlikely I'll go to any functions. But I wish you all the best of luck in getting the fanforce of the ground. All you need is three people at three meetings to become an official fanforce.

 

3 people, 3 meetings. Are there 3 or more Star Wars fans on campus willing to meet?

 

I'd be willing to come. I'm not on campus, but I live about 1/2 an hour from there. I want to make sure that we have more then just two people because that it what it has been in the past!

Did anyone else pick up tickets for the live Mythbusters show on October 28th? I can't wait!
We'll have to organize some kind of Star Wars event in the future here on campus, perhaps for the premier of Fanboys?

Last time we did flyers on the campus. We went to all the different buildings and put up flyers. We didn't really get anybody from that. So recruitment is always a problem.

 

how about this time we wait in the SW sections of bookstores and talk to teh people that come and look at those books?

 

It could be done that way or you could get permission from bookstores to put bookmarks in the books that are Star Wars related. That is another option. If they will let you do that.
