    Ahhhhhh

*OA suddenly explodes when she gets a mathematic overload*

And I think it's sad that the East Germanic languages are dead, Gothic is cool.

    Lamerson, I prefer:

    m=m¢ª/(1-((v/c)^2))^1/2 ;)

As for languages I got a few favorites: Brittish English, Italian, Latin...(though I only speak English and German.

    always great timing ;)

actually snuff is similar but not snus. in swedish snuff is "luktsnus" and its kind of a powder you put on your hand and draw in through your nose. Not very pleasant...

    From the Swedish Match FAQ:

    What is Swedish snus?
Swedish snus is a ground tobacco product dating from the late 1700s. Even at that time, Swedish snus, which is used orally, was distinctive from the nasal snuff products used in many other countries.
Swedish snus contains three main ingredients: selected tobaccos, water and salt. Flavor additives are also used. It is moist for easy use.
Swedish snus is heat-treated in a process closely related to pasteurization. This process ensures that microorganisms are neutralized, and that the snus stays fresh longer.
In Sweden, snus is regulated as a food product. Sanitation requirements in Swedish snus factories are the same as those used in food production. All additives are approved as food additives.

Oh, and for the record, you don't eat snus!
It is used behind the upper lip.

And also for the record, don't use snuff at all, it smells...

Learning English isn't very hard if you live in Sweden, everything's in English here - lot of American music, movies, books. Even our commercials is in English...well, sometimes.

its not like chewing tobacco at all actually, except for the fact that both are taken orally. Snus looks and feels almost like durt, only more moist.

Unless it is "portion" snus, then it's prepackaged in small bags inside the round box.

Also most of our tv-channels show alot of American sitcoms, mostly bad ones ;)

English is not hard to learn when 3/5 of all tv programmes you watch are in english. Thank gog we don't dub programmes like ni Germany, Italy or France. No wonder they suck at english. ;)

And you're out of your mind...

Not that the Swedish shows are better, of course. :( More movies on television!

And we want to make an impression on our new friends here, remember? So, do we really have to talk about snus? Can't we talk about something nice and Swedish? Like...like...eh...Darth Vader?

When you say Old Irish do you mean as it was spoken, or as it is spoken today? I learned Irish when I was a kid living there (mandatory class). Have you ever been?

For heaven's sake! One should never attempt to chew snus! [face_laugh]

No, really, this is how you use it:

I mean old Irish, as it was spoken, it think it's much more beautiful than modern Irish, which isn't bad either.

And yes Vader is much better than snus!!!
    Proof inside!!!

So real Old Irish. I haven't a clue about that, and retain a fondness for the language that took triple the normal time to ask the teacher if we could use the restroom.
