Congratulation!

Would someone care to tell the story of Saturday night's game here?

 

Okay, I will:


Rykel met with everyone individually, said stuff to each of them, and gave each of them a chance to voice their concerns. He then called a meeting of everyone, and told them to there could be no more deception and backstabbing, and the we had to be like a team with honor, and watch out for each other.

He lifted the restrictions on C, and told the team that they could trust him. He told Vivanna and Axia to refrain from talking in the head tail languange when people were around, as it implied secrets and bred suspicion, since not many understood it. He told Vivanna to in essence get over her dislike and distrust of C, and to work with him in a team capacity. He stated that while Axia was Captain of the ship, he was in charge of the whole team.

The the cockpit alarms went off, and from the cockpit you could see that the ship had entered a system, with a small sun, and several planets, one of which seemed to be glowing almost with a light of it's own....

Axia reached out with the force, attempting to sense... anything. While before, she would reach out with the force and it would be a struggle to grasp at any presence, this time was different. Numerous presences in the force seemed to reach out and take hold of her- presences both light and dark side. The dark side presences seemed to almost be invasive, as if they wished to enter her mind and thoughts....

"FULL REVERSE!" Rohr cried out in Shyriwook, and was instantly translated by his translator he carried.

"Do it!" Rykel commanded. And Kleff did. The presences in the force dwindled away, and Axia looked around. Rohr had his eyes closed, and Bann was staring out the viewport, eyes squinting, a look of concentration on his face.

"They know we are here." Rohr said.

The Planet of Light was now a tiny dot in the starfield in front of them. Even at this distance, it seemed to shine, pearlescent and beautiful.

"Well, we need to proceed, as that's the planet we came for," Rykel said.

"There is a dark presence like a stain on part of that planet..." Rohr said.

"Rohr," Rykel began, "Then perhaps you can guide Kleff as we go in. It seems prudent to steer away from the darkness, until we understand what's going on." Rohr moved forward in the cockpit, and took a place directly behind Kleff.

I really wanted to be at the game, but unfortunately I was taking care of 2 people with the flu and pink eye. I didn't think anyone there would have liked to go home with some of that good stuff. But I'm really sorry I wasn't there.

 

We missed you too, but not enough to risk contagion, so thank you for staying away.


So, Kleff flew in. The upper atmosphere seemed to have a quality to it that made it reflect light almost to the point of glowing, and it played havoc with the sensors. Once under that, the glowing property was gone (unless you looked up) but the sensors were still screwy. Kleff flew in to the planet, which was beautiful. Polar ice caps, jungles, deserts, green hills and plains, mountains, you name it. He was cruising above the jungle when two ships of totally unfamiliar design picked him up to follow him. He was told to follow them in the opposite direction of where he was headed, and when he did not, things got hostile.

The guns were manned and shots were fired back and forth. Kleff tried some crazy evasive maneuevers, but the ships of unknown design and origin stuck with him. Rykel got a look at the ships, and said "No... no way... it can't be...."

When questioned about what he was saying and what kind of ships they were, all Rykel could gasp was "... they look Mandalorian!"

C meanwhile was trying to hack into the ships computers remotely, through their communications and computer antenna.


At one point, Kleff was flying the opposite direction, but Rohr warned him that they were going towards more of the bad guys. Kleff course corrected.

Kleff did a loop de loop barrell roll maneuver, and came up behind one of the ships.

C succesfull (with some insane computer use rolls) was able to send the two attacking ships computers into a diagnostic mode, forcing them to veer away and land.

Bann leand forward near Kleff's head, apparently to study the readouts...

Kleff then turned around and started flying the way they came.

After several alarmed people got him to turn around and continue going in the right direction, all he could say was "I just wanted to go that way."

Bann suggested that maybe he got his directions turned around with all that crazy flying he was doing.

After a little while, the alarm went off indicating more ships coming in, this time from up ahead.

The comm went off, and a voice (this time clearer) said, "Unidentified ship, state your name, origin and purpose."

Rykel took the comma and responded: "This is the Crucible Thorn, we are from... from the.. Core. Of what was the Old Republic... We came here seeking the Planet of Light..."

After a pause, the voice came through the comm, "Will you allow us to take you to a... safer area?"

Rykel said yes.

"Then we will come alongside of you to fly escort. Welcome to Ilum."

The two ships streaked into view. They were small starfighters of a vaguely familiar design: Triangular in shape, they were a reddish color with a white stripe that extended down the middle. With uncanny precision, they flipped around, and took up escort/guard spots on either side of the thorn.

Rykel's eyes were wide, his mouth open. Softly, he uttered: "Old Republic.... Old Republic Jedi Starfighters!"



And that's where we ended.

 

Axia turns to to Rykel slowly, deliberatly. "Jedi Starfighters?" She asks him.

 

"Yes," he says with a faraway look in his eyes as he looks out the window. "In the days of the Old Republic, the Jedi Knights had their own starfighters. Very... interesting to see them again. To my knowledge, they were all destroyed with the Jedi. Except for the rare specimen kept guarded in private collections..."

 

"so in essence we are being escourted by fighters that don't exist and those in turn are probably being piloted by..."

Axia drifts off as she tries to reach out and touch the presence of one of the pilots of the Jedi Starfighters.

 

::Making mental note:: Kill one of the dudes that was trying to kill us and take his armor (My dad told me stories about Mandalorian Armor when I was a kid) and then "Borrow" one of those starfighters. ::End mental note::

 

Axia: roll see force and a sense check.



Jank: lol.

 

OOG: Would Kleff recognize the ship, or put the ship and what I know about Jedi together? Because he has seen a drawing of the ship before.

 

See force = 15
Sense = 6

 

You reach out in the force, opening yourself to the area around you...


And you see (sense) a force user in each of the escort ships on either side of you, their presence in the force glowing brightly, brighter and stronger than what you are used to seeing...

I go to or stay at my gun turret if these Jedi starfighters, as Kurtrain named them, try and pull somethin funny.
