I actually think it would have been a good idea to lock this thread after the first post.

newbies don't need to read all this crap.

newbies don't need to read all this crap

On the contrary, it will build the required stamina to tackle the rest of the forum.

It all depends on what you consider to be a man.

To be serious for a moment...

I find this debate tiresome in the least. Nobody should be grouped so easily into one standard. We are all individuals constantly striving for self-improvement, sometimes for the better sometimes for the worse and sometimes for no real change at all, and clams are all inherently evil I tells ya! EVIL!!

Sorry, couldn't keep it up for long.

Economics can help you sort that little problem out, Grieyls. ;)

A question of scarcity of time and money, that's the core of the matter...

Choose wisely, and reap the rewards :D

But for all you newbies, remember, life is not about money, but about friends, love, and all that other mushy stuff. Because without that, you will be lost and have a spiritually unfulfilling life :p Oh man how cheesy does that sound, or maybe corny ;)

But remember, make sure you sniff them first, otherwise you may not be DNA compatible and you'll fill the world with ugly children...

And have heaps of children too, peoples, cause Australia has a low rate of natural increase, we need to raise the fertility rate if we are to reverse the ageing population ;) And thus increase GDP per capita ;)

Nyder, we need more children?. Egads, I cannot see Australian's having an increased fertility rate, anytime soon. People are placing careers first, above procreation, so for the time being , our fertility rate is at a whole time low.

This planet is way over populated and nature knows it. Hence the pursuit of careers over families. Of course I have nothing to back that up, it's just my own personal theory.

Aye, the planet is way over-populated, but Australia is way under-populated.

Unfortunately, unlike places such as the US, there is no real drawcard for immigrants to settle anywhere but major cities and some regional centres.

Why is this country under populated? Last I read the agricultural base could not support the current population? Or so it was a year or so ago.

I beleive it's the other way around, why else would all the farmers be doing it so tough?
