Well I'm not too sure how irrelevant you would like it, but I am all for the de-institutionalisation of religion. It's a lot better now than it was in the past (based on anecdotal evidence that I have obtained with experienced elders).

HOWEVER, we still have the unfortunate things like the GG being a arch-bishop and christianity being taught in state schools.

As long as religion isn't forced down our throats - THEN I will be perfectly happy with it's existence........ much like you may be

On my first day of High School at Noosa State they handed out bibles.

That is incorrect. I was saying that organised religion has become a lot less relevant than it was in the past.

Thats very true. In all fairness I don't think that religion (of any kind) should be taught in state schools. Fair enough to teach kids about religions, comparisons etc, but church and state should be seperated.

Thats why that charming fellow Bashir gives me the creeps. The goal of him and his kind is a global islamic state. Hooray!
