The 501st & RL had a "Walk like MADD" event this last Sat. This was a lot of fun, but, a bit sad seeing all the people there w/ "in memory of" shirts. At least, I wasn't the lone rebel in a sea of Imps. Pam & I were Jedi's, Scott was a Scout Trooper, Darren as Boba Fett, Thayne & John(nm=? Reno) were TK's, There was also a Black Hole TK. The officers had a real blast with us for the photo ops w/ their car. Mark S Allen was the guest host and stoked that we were there. The Phoenix Univ. has a scary mascot(poor guy, all the TK's wanted to take it down), it was a big red bird thing(hope they got a good pic of it). Home Town Buffet had a pair of teens in Bee Mascot costumes(these guys were pretty funny). There was even a dance group who did some salsa & other dances.

I don't know everytime i plan a meeting for the 2nd saturday, everyone wants to change it. So this time i will let all of you decide when we are having a meeting.

 

I can meet this Saturday, our normal meeting time. Going out of town next Saturday and wont be back until December 1st. If we don't meet this weekend, someone will have to catch me up when I get back.

Saw The Men Who Stare at Goats today and it was pretty funny! Reminded me of a Cohen brothers film, pretty quirky, but also very funny. Great to see Ewan training to be a "Jedi" on film again!

Viki and I caught Avatar on the Imax in 3D on Sunday, it was great! I recommend to all Rogues. The story is predictable, "Ferngully" meets "Dances with Wolves", but despite that we both enjoyed it and the visuals are awesome! Anyway, I thought this video was pretty hilarious!

Hey that Dentist kid and Christian Bale's rant was pretty funny! The RE3 guy was,...uh...disturbing and JCVD is now just kind of sad and annoying. Though he did do a great Stallone impersonation, I gotta give him that!

Anyway, how about not so current events?! Can't believe Brittany Murphy died, was shocked, but she was the 3rd in the rule of 3 for celebrity deaths, Roy Disney and Jennifer Jones as 1 and 2. A spooky phenomenon, but 30 Rock covered this hilariously!

Glad to hear that David Goldman got his son back from Brazil! Now the family in Brazil wants to fight to bring the kid back, like that will happen.

Anyway, that's all I got.

Hi Rogues!!! Sorry, I've been out of touch for bit. Had some life pains to take care of. Kimmie & I are good. Had a bad cold/flu since X-mas(got to love baby cutties[sp?]). We had a quiet New Years at home w/ an x-roommate who stopped into town, a nice dinner & watched a few movies, had some rum shots at M/N.
Had a Bantha scare for a bit around the holidays. Thought it was asthma at first, then after some x-rays, the doc said it might be an enlarged heart. So, off to the specialist he went. Luckily, it was just asthmaism(apparently the guy upstairs has been smoking in his bathroom- & it's a common effect to apt. pets in the cold season) Of course, all this was attained after the 3 Benjamin$$$ got forked over(that's w/ the discount ). All is good now though.

Susan/Earl, I tried calling you guys a few times. I still have the Concept Ki-Adi from Robert to you since the scummers party. I'll bring it w/ me to the meeting.

We finally saw Avatar/3D. Very "FurnGully"-ish. The Story had a great theme. I'd go to Pandora just for that skyline view. I wouldn't last a mynock minute unless I got into of those avatar bodies.

Kimmie got me a Wii for X-Mas w/ TFU. Naturally, I beat it by the 3rd time playing it. Just going through it to find the last 6 Holocrons that I missed, jumping btwn B/H & S/S outfits.

Ooops! where did the time go. lunch time's over already. Hope to see you guys at the Meeting.
