Could we start a review board of Survivor's Quest?

How about a review for LoE, RotS, and Dark Lord?

I figure it would be good to put them all up at once since they form a trilogy.

Hey, I'm learning my way around the boards and I don't understand why some of the review threads are locked. Can someone please explain this to me?

No activity for a period of time will auto-lock a thread -- there's nothing we can do to change that.

PM me (or another mod) which threads you want unlocked and we can taske care of it.

    Heya -

Could someone sum up a list of what's missing from the review forum? I don't need individual comic issues, but general series (e.g. "Republic") and the like would be good as well.

    Thanks!

I think this is mostly correct, though I may have missed a thread or two. Review threads missing for:

    -Outbound Flight
    -The Approaching Storm
    -Republic comic series
    -Republic Commando: Hard Contact
    -Shatterpoint
    -The Cestus Deception
    -Republic Commando: Triple Zero
-The Medstar Duology (Battle Surgeons and Jedi Healer)
    -Jedi Trial
    -Yoda: Dark Rendezvous
    -Labyrinth of Evil
    -Revenge of the Sith novel
-Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader
    -Droids comic series
    -Empire comic series
-The Han Solo Trilogy (Paradise Snare, Hutt Gambit, and Rebel Dawn)
-Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina
    -Galaxies: Ruins of Dantooine
    -Tales of the Bounty Hunters
    -Tales from the Empire
    -Tales from Jabba's Palace
-The Bounty Hunter Wars trilogy (Mandalorian Armor, Slave Ship, and Hard Marchendise)
-The Glove of Darth Vader series
    -Tales from the New Republic
    -Survivor's Quest
-The Dark Nest Trilogy (Joiner King, Unseen Queen, and Swarm War)
    -Betrayal

    -Tales comic series
    -Infinities comic series (ANH:I, ESB:I, and RotJ:I)

And if we want to look further, we could also do review threads on the several young adult series (YJK, JJK, Young Boba, Jedi Apprentice, etc.) Some of the New Essential Guides are also missing (NEGtD for sure, but possibly also the NEGWT, and the NEC.)

    That's a lot of potential threads... [face_hypnotized]

Would love to have these put on the forum. It's great to have consolidated reviews of each of the books. I've got reviews ready for about 12 books, but the majority have no link on tis section. Could this be added?

Sure. :) dp4m has been in charge of doing Review Forum threads lately, so try PMing him first. But if you don't get a reply, try me or The2ndQuest.

Can we unlock some of the older threads so new readers can put down their reviews? Most of the threads on this page are currently locked.

I know about the whole auto-locking thing with threads, but....

Is it possible for a mod to just unlock them at regular intervals (or 'bump' them when the locking period is about to kick in)? As opposed to having folks pm mods requesting one to be unlocked?

    I ask this because:
    1) This system isn't clear
    2) It might discourage folks from posting reviews - having to pm a mod might be a turnoff to anyone casually considering a review - esp in the case of newcomers

I don't say this just for myself; I say this because I see that this board doesn't see a lot of activity, and perhaps it would see more if threads weren't locked so frequently.

I'd be more than happy to do this myself.

As a newcomer to the EU, I would like to throw in my two cents about something that could be very helpful for someone like me. In the other literature forum, they have a couple of posts about where newcomers can start, butthey are not always helpful.

It would be VERY helpful if, in this forum, there was a stickied thread that has the overall average score of each book. Even if it were only updated once a month to stay somewhat current, it would be a very helpful tool in deciding what to read next. So far I have only read the Thrawn trilogy, which I enjoyed very much. I would love to be able to see which books were ranked highest in a thread where I could compare them easily to others.

PS- If anyone has a siggestion of what to read next, please PM me!

Few places could I post and feel fairly confident that no one would see what I wrote. Ah, Review forum, you will be missed.
