Yes, you wonderful, lovable lot, you're cricketers (whether you give a damn or not i don't know, but it's beside the point!) have done well to draw, although you could have won if that scary basher Cairns had stayed around a little longer

anyway, i enjoyed the result and i thought, "well, bugger it, i may as well rock on down to the NZ forum and congratulate them!" Better than those awful West Indians anyway, lasting 3 days, at least you got past 100! What's the feeling like over there, do you still think you'll get thumped? Or were you out, say, chopping wood or something like that, not giving a darn about the cricket?

Your neighbour (one of them, anyway)

Read the "cake-tin commentary" thread ;)

The cricket is only available on pay TV in NZ, which severely limits the viewing audience, and the country's enthusiasm, sadly.

So, an Aussie, huh. You lost the rugby and league to the UK over the weekend. Just as well you didn't lose the cricket to us too LOL.

    :p

Thanks Jet, I'm pretty stoked with the result to be honest. To come that close to Aussie in aussie is fantastic.

We halted Aussies 13 test winning streak!

I heard that 2 days ago the TAB were offering 80:1 on a NZ win.

I bet there were some mighty relieved bookies at the end of the match!

Didn't Australia lose the toss? If that's the case they cannot match fix.

NZ also declared early, don't forget.

To me it reeks of making what would have been a dull draw into something very interesting to watch (an interesting draw).

of course you can match fix even if you dont win the toss.

pay the opposition off to bat poorly, bowl poorly - pay the umpires off etc
