Calgary We're coming to visit sunday may 22

Hey Calgary, we're looking to do a roadtrip down to meet you all, but when would be a good time to come? I said this weekend, but some some people said we needed to give you guys more notice

 

I could be available this weekend, after juggling some things around.

It will be good to meet you guys in person.

(4hours until I'm off work to go wait in line!)

 

It would be really cool to meet you guys. Perhaps we could attend another showing in costume all together? That would be fun!

If you want to go down on Sunday and need the company, I'm in. Give us a chance to talk costume stuff! I even have something for us to do that evening if you don't mind hangin' out with some troopers.

Okay, we're leaving here at about 8-8:30 am. We hope to be in the city by noon, but we have a little running around to do so how does 1 o'clock at the Chapters/Starbucks in Chinook sound?

Well it was awesome meeting you guys and getting to put a face to some of the names. It's great to see another active fanforce in our province and with time and patience I can foresee you guys becoming just as -if not more- active than us.

We also talked some about a future inter-fanforce event, which we can talk more freely about in the coming week when we have a date nailed down for our Super Happy Fun Day.

Great meeting everyone! Looking foward to more events with the Fan Force and the 501st!

 

It was great to put some faces to handles. Hears to a long future of Star Wars in Alberta.

I've been thinking of some things the Fanforce and 501 can all can do:
*Alberta wide BBQ
*Make a fan film
*Crash the Star Trek Convention in Vulcan

Just some ideas

 

we definately need to plan a bbq for sometime in the near future

 

Haha! I was even thinking of checking the Vulcan convention out! That would be kinda funny... The con seems to have a Klingon theme this year and I was thinking I'd crash it as an Orc

A BBQ would be cool too.

By the way, Westercon is going to have a booth at the Lilac Festival this weekend and I'll be helping out (perhaps even dressed as a Jedi!). If anyone is down there, come say hi!

The BBQ is a great idea - if we keep it a decent size (40 people or less), I will volunteer my home. There would be space for people to change in and out of costume if they so desire. If we get a group larger than that we can pick a different locataion and I will donate to the food fund. Count the numbers and let me know.
