JCC We're expecting a little Padawan this June...

    Well, it's been twelve weeks, we had our scan, everything looks fine so we're putting it out there.

    Mr Geldar and I are expecting a baby this June.

    It's starting to sink in, and we do realise a lots going to change with us for good.

    No. Don't do this. People are asking you what the gender of your baby is to show polite curiosity, don't be pretentious about it; they do not really care anyway, and saying "oh, we're not telling" is rude and completely unnecessary.

    I mean unless you don't plan on enforcing gender binaries on your child, in which case tell them that instead of "we're not telling".
