ST Were Kylo and Rey initially intended to be siblings?

It's pretty much hinted that Kylo and Rey are cousins. But I remember reading somewhere that the first draft of the script had the female lead be Han and Leias daughter.

So is it possible Rey and Kylo were initially supposed to be siblings but they switched it to cousins so it wouldn't be like Jaina and Jacen Solo.

It's been rumoured for years that the new lead would be Han and Leia's daughter. Whether that was Lucas's plan, we don't yet know. I'm glad Abrams didn't go with that because it's somehow too obvious. What he's done with Rey isn't obvious at all.

 

The first rumoured version has Rey as Han and Leia's daughter, but has Kylo as a generic villain. It could be that once they developed Kylo they changed Rey's parentage, meaning that they were not supposed to be siblings.

 

I think they're cousins.
