Edmonton West Edmonton Mall Event - Saturday June 9th & BBQ Afterwards

Hi Everyone,

We just got the invite to come to West Edmonton Mall with the Badlands Garrison to help out with the Selections Support Sevices charity fundraiser. We have been asked to show up at about 10 am and be ready to troop but 11 am for about 3-4 hours. We do not have a location yet where we are to get ready but Ted will be letting me know shortly... it does sound like we are going to be at the Ice Palace.

Afterwards we have been invited to Ted and Sonia's place for a BBQ. Evening starts at about 5 pm. They have hotdogs and burgers and snacks but if there is anything else you would like to bring that is fine... also BYOB. They have a hottub so bring a bathing suit and towel too.

Well, I'm taking 10 kids to the waterpark that day so I won't be able to make it. I think I'll be needing a sensory deprivation chamber after.

 

Thanks so much for posting this Erin. I know this isn't how invites are supposed to come to you guys, and I apologize for that. Totally my fault. Erin is 100% correct - you are most certainly welcome to come and have some fun with us! And as she said.....we don't have the location information as of yet which is fairly typical of how things happen with the mall. Worst case, if we don't get that information to you prior to Saturday, please meet by the ice rink near the entrance to the change rooms at 10:00 and we'll find you. Make sure you let us know here though that you are coming so we know to be looking for you.

Little update for everyone. The change room will be at the Ice Palace. For those of you that haven't been down there yet, I can meet you upstairs by the entrance to the Ice Palace.

 

you mean the lil gate thing where ya can put on the skates and such Angela?

 

Yes.....but if you walk through that area you'll see a set of stairs going down. The change rooms are all down there.

Trek stuff in Vulcan this weekend. I know some of the Badlanders are going to crash the parade in costume. I was going to head down as well but I have a golf tourney.

Good to hear. And yeah, nice meeting you all too. And I'm beginning to slowly recall the usernames, now it's all about placing them with the faces, haha. This is made even more difficult by the fact that I haven't been to TFN for ages. Whatever happened to Indy btw?

 

in what sense?, people get busy and sometimes we have lots of members and other times not so much. Fan Force is apretty easy come and go as you will place so it all depends on what's going on.
