Just so we're all clear, this is a terrible answer. Perhaps worse than not seeing the rationale for such a movement in the first place. The show spends an inordinate amount of time trying to get the viewers and characters to meditate on the morality of what is happening. That's one of the major themes, and is the motivation for any number of characters. In such a tale, you don't think it would be relevant to mention that others have also had a negative reaction? The message we're presented with changes entirely depending on whether this as an amusement embraced enthusiastically and uncritically by the general public, they are indifferent to it, or if like online "escort" services, this is a probably illegal, often denounced bastion of people whom most of the world already finds repugnant. These would change not only how we perceive the action, but would constrain and inform the actions of any number of characters (eg the board). It is inexcusably lazy to just insert something like that in after the fact.

As I said...YET. But I'm sure you are proud of all that. Gonna troll this up like game Of Thrones?

And as I said, it should already have had a huge impact on the story as presented. Especially with the constant references to the board of directors trying to cater more to popular demands. How exactly would something like this not have come up? Are you going to not read posts like you apparently just did?

Why should it already have come up? Who made that rule? No one did. They never had to. They can if they want. Yeah, I read your bad post.

Why would you tell out stories and leave out major character motivations? Would it also be good story-telling if they revealed that the Man in Black has the power to see into the spirit world, and he only attacked/hurt hosts that were possessed by demons, and his real motivation has been to kill Satan the whole time, but they just forgot to mention any of this in first entire season?

Major motivation for who? What are you even talking about now? This season did not talk about what the outside world thinks. You have a problem with that. Oh well.

    1. The multiple board representatives, said to be trying to bring the park more in line with public demands/wishes
    2. Bernard, trying to free the hosts
    3. Ford, as above
    4. Delores, who apparently even remembering past lives, can only recall one human in her entire existence that seemed to show genuine empathy for the plight of the hosts
    5. The prostitute/Freeman mother, whose whole character is increasingly driven by justifiable anger at the human indifference to their plight

More or less every single major character on the show, then. But there are plenty of sex parts, so I guess that makes it a great show regardless.

I have one left episode to view. I'm really enjoying this series. But the next to last episode left me a bit confused about Bernard and Arnold. Was Bernard made in the image of Arnold or is he actually Arnold. Also who was the other guy in the photograph? The one who Ford made and was hidden away in the unlisted building with the kids and dog?

Perhaps you should watch the final episode?

It's funny watching you trying to twist this. The outside world has not been depicted. Get over it.

Yes, and given that it is relevant to the actions of so many characters, it probably should have been.

Not quite....Ford's Theater is just a coincidence.

The real historical shout-out would be that Ford was named after Robert Ford....who betrayed and shot Jesse James in the back of the head.

Wow, how did I not notice this? This is literally my family's history because my great grandmother was a Younger. Literally Cole Younger is a cousin of mine. And of course it fits perfectly that in a world based on Westerns, there would be a nod to the James-Younger gang.

How would that help? They haven't been paying attention to past episodes, what makes you think they'd pay attention to the last?

He also wasn't nominated for a Critic's choice award, which is a real award, unlike a Golden Globe. It's perplexity. Yes other people are good in the show, too. But he's phenomenal, and it's one of his best roles in years. He resists all temptations to chew scenery.
Do you mean the Vasquez rocks?

Wikipedia lists only the Burton Planet of the Apes, not the original. Maybe the list isn't complete. In any case, these are one of the most frequently used locations in film and TV, even lower budget things. Especially westerns, they're iconic for that. They are easily accessible basically right off a highway.

Interesting final episode. I didn't see the multiple time lines coming until we saw William dragging Logan behind the horse, which made me think of the man in black dragging Lawrence in an earlier episode. I had a wild guess that Wyatt was going to be someone we'd already seen, not sure I expected it to be Dolores though. I didn't expect Bernard to be a host, but what I thought was strange about Bernard being Arnold is why would Ford make a host look exactly the same as someone who he had founded the park with and was featured in a photograph with in his office. Overall I enjoyed the series, it had enough layers and interest to keep me hooked. Looking forward to seeing where they take it next.

plus - wouldn't other people know of Arnold and therefore know that Bernard must be a robot if they saw him ?

I think they mean it makes no sense that no one else ever noticed the resemblance to a ground-breaking, revolutionary AI designer and park co-founder. Someone would notice if Melinda Gates built a "Bill" robot that was an exact physical replica doing exactly the same things as before but just insisted on calling him Robert.

I really should have posted my theory a few weeks ago that Dolores was Wyatt. I thought they had started to make it fairly obvious in the last few episodes.
