What would've been really cool is Jar-Jar becoming a Jedi and using a double-bladed lightsaber.

    And I use Ketchup.

If George Lucas allowed Jar Jar to become a jedi I would personally kill myself. That has seriously got to be the dumbest thing I have ever heard in my life. I don't know how you define "cool", but that was about as cool as Nick Jr.

To all you ketchup lovers out there: Please keep your likes about Satan's vomit to yourself. :D

Everyone knows the only fitting condiment to hotdogs is mustard. Mustard is the shizz. They should give it a title, like......Colonol Mustard......or something.

    :D

It served its purpose in TPM. It was supposed to show the agressiveness of the Sith and how bad Maul was. If it was in AOTC or in ROTS it would of taken away the coolnes of Maul.

    Good Stuff

I don't think it would have spoiled Maul's character. I agree with not adding the saber in AOTC but, I was honestly expecting to see a couple in ROTS.

"If it was in AOTC or in ROTS it would of taken away the coolnes of Maul.

There were thousands os single saber users. Was Kenobi less cool for a single saber? Qui-Gon? Windu? Sidious?
No. They had a great idea with the lightstaff. It shouldn't have died with Maul.

my friend told me that jedi don't use 2 sabers or double-bladed sabers because those weapons are for aggressive fighting. jedi are supposed to be peaceful.

Aggresion exists in dueling no matter what saber you wield. They'll both sever your limbs quite nicely.

Well if we really think about it, Bastilla from KOTOR, for her first saber uses a double-bladed saber.
Then the only time we see one again is when you start to meet Dark Jedi, so its a toss-up. Some would perfer the double some wouldn't.

    Keep up son!!

There's always room for condiment conversation!!

BTW: You can't say you wouldn't have loved to see GL's kid (that little clone-killing padawan who came flying out of the temple when Bail was leaving) swinging a blue double-bladed lightsaber.

Although they may have had to get a more skilled weopon specialist. (No offense Jett!!)

    Yes, I can say it.
I would hate to have seen any of the RotS jedi with something as dumb as a double ended saber.

It's an ineffective weapon that wouldn't behave the way Maul used it. It was just there for the "Oooohh" factor.

It wouldn't have the weight to carry through like it did, nore would he be able to weild it as if it did, it was too short. It would be like using a staff that's only 24 inches long, it would make him a batton twirler!

Not to mention that he would have cut his back open three or four times if the blades were real, but we'll just ignore that...

Hey, those batons spin fast! But seriously, you're right except for the crucial "Force" aspect of lightsaber use. All Jedi and Sith use the Force to control their use of the weapon*, which otherwise has none of the weight or balance that make real swords effective.

That's how Maul is able to spin the DBSaber as if it were a staff and, more importantly, it's how he's able to make such a difficult to use weapon so effective.

*I just made that up. But I bet I'm right anyway. :p

From playing E3 the game I see that only the best jedi use double wielding blades. When as anakin killing jedi in the temple, You eventually come across big jedi with green double bladed lightsabers.

    Go mustard
