Doesn't this "new" association sounds like an elaborate and gigantic hockey pool? Choosing players on a piece of paper just in the hopes of beating your in-laws or your coworkers? I mean look at their "draft picks"...

I think its a cool idea. I've always loved the old WHA, and what it did for hockey (My father also wrote a book about it ;) ) And I think this time around it will be good for hockey as well. If not just to give the NHL a wake up call. But If thats the only hockey we are going to see then...

    GO Nordiks GO! :)

I'm kinda excited about it. :p Don't know how long it'll last, but I will go to games in Halifax if the tickets are reasonable, like they say they will be.

Go Halifax Icebreakers! Urgh, that name still bothers me. :p

So has this league officially died before it was born? Now would be the time for it to get going, but I haven't heard anything in recent weeks to indicate that this league will even drop a single puck. What about that Original Stars Hockey League (OSHL) that played a few games in Ontario but dropped off the map recently. Did anyone actually go see these games? Was the quality as poor as had been reported? I wonder what they charged for tickets for these "games".

I'm very disappointed with this whole WHA idea. I guess I'll just have to stick with going to the Halifax Mooseheads games. :( :p
