I know I've talked to henry about this a little bit, but what is everyone's opinion on the arkansas fan force having a website.

Getting it wouldn't be a problem as I could easily make it.

I've been told that it would be useless and it wouldn't do any good, but then again all the time when we are talking about flyers and business cards we talk about how long the URL to the boards are so that we can't add the URL to them, so if we were to get a website put up we could not only have a shorter URL for flyers and cards, but we could also put pictures and stuff on there to encourage more members and so that more people wouldn't have questions about everything, and so that we wouldn't be looking everyone for pictures we put all the pictures together rather than spread around everywhere.

So what do you all think?

It sounds like a good idea in theory...I know nothing of websites, but some other fan groups have them and they look really nice...

It is a little under construction right now, but Memphis has its own website and separate forums at suspiciousmindtrick.net Check that out for ideas if you want.

I think something like www.arkansith.com would be really catchy.

I think we could all come up with something awesome. I could use Dreamweaver to create a bad ass site. With all of our talents combined it should be pretty dandy.

sithsarbad, lol, I am a professional website designer, I could probably handle it, lol.

But yea we could put pictures from like C3, and the premiere, and all of our meetings and stuff like that, then also like upcoming events so that new people could see it, and then a huge link to the boards, lol, and more stuff.

    That's great for you....

However I think there are other members in our club who can help. Anyone who can help should be able to. This is a FanForce, we should all be involved in making the website, not just one person.

Well, we definitely need to come up with the name of the site before we have content in it.

yes, and everyone can help, but I can handle the layout, and god knows you don't want two or three people working on a layout becuase it could get weird, lol.

I think arkansith.com is a great domain name if we can get it. arkansithgalacticrenegades.com would be a little long wouldn't it? ;) Then there is the issue of who would pay for such a site.

The only real cost is the domain name, which you can easily get for around 8 bucks a year. I can host the site on one of my websites easily.

Also I think arkansith.com would be good.

EDIT - here is something I came up with... just an idea tell me what you think

The idea is great. Has anyone thought about what the websites going to span not just have. Ex. Books, Games, Movies, Conventions, Reviews.....

Also I could help out with the designing!

I think a website would be an excellent idea. especially if a few of you are webpage designers... I am very artistic and creative and would be willing to offer design ideas/input if they would be wanted if not, that is ok to....but it does sound like something we should do !!!!

    We now have:
    A member database
    DATABASE
    A photo site
    PHOTOS
    A 77-94 low-end collectable site
    77-94 COLLECTABLES
    A 95-Now low-end collectable site
    95-Now COLLECTABLES
We just need a website to house it all and make it easier to find things. News, Events, Costumes, ETC...
